Just sold one for 4 keys
http://backpack.tf/classifieds/search/Grenade <- 1 at 4 keys.
You do understand the "highballing" link is actually a troll trade, right? I figured that out when "keys" suddenly had three E's and a Z in it.

Dont know why people are posting some highballer trades selling at 5keys as counterproof when it isnt hard to find for 4 keys or 4.2-4.5 keys with decent s.parts...
Note: There were are a few traders that kept opening their trade for a nade for 4.5 keys and closing them in response to this suggestion...dont know how to respond to that... but i will say pretty that it's damn sus when you have like 6+ successful trades at 4.5 keys under 2 hrs each and it's the same nade launcher ever time you relist it lol (i have not listed any of their trades here)
a few weeks ago i got one for 4 gift wraps (4 keys in items) http://puu.sh/2UCHa.png
you can add it to your proof
Thanks will do :)
it's hardly 4 keys. More like 3 keys
ok, this looks valid. upvote
on server trade i never see peapole selling grenade laucher at 4 key just 4.5 downvote
If you keep seeing people trying to sell them at 4.5 keys doesnt that mean it isnt getting sold at 4.5 tho? :O (correct me if im wrong)
i pisspoke, most people sell the grenade laucher fore 4.5 key with successful (in trade server)
The problem with these trade server sales is that proving it is almost impossible.
That's why TF2OP sales are always used as proof. It's hard to do otherwise.
P.S. I managed to sell one for 5 keys in items, but it was really hard to do.
Sold one for 5 keys 1 week ago. Somehow I feel this is bullshit
Lol i was looking to buy one and most people on op had either decided they wanted to highball (5-6 keys) or sell at 4.5 (alot unsuccessful) which is why i felt the price needed an update xD
Quite a few were selling at decent prices (although with strange parts)
So you admit to manipulating prices...
well to clarify, if you see alot of trades at 5-6 keys it means is isnt getting sold which is why it needs an update
update =/= manipulation, if you want to buy for 5-6 keys be my guest :)
5-6 keys isn't even in the range... -_- You are not helping yourself.
i was talking about highballers and you accuse me of price manipulation :L
"i was looking to buy one" "i felt the price needed an update xD" and you never mentioned a single 4 key seller (which is what the suggestion is)
You're selectively reading now... in between those 2 sentences is "most people on op had either decided they wanted to highball (5-6 keys) or sell at 4.5 (alot unsuccessful) which is why i felt the price needed an update"
I cant edit my comment from 1 day ago so dont bother saying that i just changed it xD
I still don't see anything about 4 keys in there. Just 4.5
As in layman terms, " i wanted to buy so i searched up trades, saw many unsolds and noticed that bp.tf has a somewhat outdated price, so wanted to update it"
Not quite sure how that asserts to price manipulation lol
i highly doubt any suggester knows what goes up or down for an update without firstly looking for trades first right? and it takes more effort to change a price by 0.5 keys than to just buy (please use some logic)
Unsolds:
Link 1: He says himself it's a quicksell which shouldn't affect price...
Link 2: He had MANY people writing added, idk who it sold to but it's sold...
Link 3: Unbumped
Link 4: Seems valid
Link 5: Unbumped
Link 6: Less than a day, too young
Link 7: Sold
Link 8: Someone wrote added
Link 9: Got offered 3 keys + 6 ref which is Basically 4 keys + 1 ref
Link 10: Less than a day, too young and got offered 4
Link 11: Less than a day + unbumped
Link 12: Has an offer of 4 but it has parts so it's a complete lowball, seems valid
Link 13: 1 day, unbumped and someone added to offer
Link 14: Unbumped
Link 15: Had a good offer but he bought form someone else, other than that seems valid
Link 16: Sold in less than 17 hours
Link 17: Less than a day and unbumped
Link 18: Has an offer of 4 but overall seems to be valid
Link 19: 1 day ago and he had an offer of S.F Axtinguisher with parts 1:1 (Strange alone is 4.5 - 5 so that's a good offer, declined btw, he bought from someone else though)
Link 20: Less than a day, too young
Link 21: Sold
Link 22: Less than a day, too young
Link 23: Had an offer of Diamond Rocket Launcher (4) with Dominations (1) on it
Link 24: Has same offer as above and the one with S.F Axtinguisher with parts
Link 25: Had the offer of the Diamond RL
Link 26: Had an offer of 4 and the offer of the Diamond RL
Link 27: Less than a day, too young
Link 28: Has an offer of 4
Except for 4 Valid trades, all your unsolds are too young or unbumped or sold or had good offers or had an offer of 4 pure
You might be right, but too many declined offers of 4 to make it 4 in my opinion and also your "proof" of unsolds which is about 90% of your total proof is 4/28 valid which is 1/7
Looking into it
link 1: that quick sale that did take a while
link 2: he stocks up why would he sell at 4 keys if he could sell at 4.5 keys
link 5: has 2 book marks 40 ish views...
link 7: sold after 3 days (probably because saw my proof wanted one for 4 keys)
link 8: has s.parts and only solf for 4 keys 1 ref <-- my bad for not labeling
link 13: added to offer was still unsold, guy added has no keys
link 14: 2 book marks, 45 views
link 17: still not sold
link 19: doesnt say which s. parts
link 28: within my suggested price
1) The offers of the diamond RL was all made by one person spamming links in alot of trades, he bought one, others are still unsold so dont discount half my proof from one person spamming plox :)
2) i very very clearly write down why i left trades under 1 day
>>>> "****I kept the ones less than a day as some times suggests might take a few days for an admin to accept/reject i have labeled them :)"
most who are still unsold
So technically most of my proof is still valid.
First of all only 3 had the offer of Diamond RL and if he spams that means he's quite desperate and he's willing to pay ~4.5 + bookmarks or not, sold or not only 4 are valid cause other are quicksell/unbumped/too young/sold/have good offers so MOST of your proof ISN'T valid, if many get 4 keys offer EASILY and most also decline it that means it shouldn't be 4 flat
sold one yesterday for 4keys+1REF
I've sold 4 between today and yesterday for more than 4 keys (Proof http://imgur.com/bZgrWgW) Also sold 4 or so on Saturday for more than 4 keys and will provide the screencaps if requested.
They are trending downward, but I'm not sure if 4 keys flat is appropriate yet.

Grenade Launcher (2.66-3 ref) = 5.6-6 keys --> http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10822786 (F. Grenade is in BP)
2) is a highballer, pretty easy to find one at that price with decent s. parts...
3) highballer (wants 100% over pay in items O_o) has an offer of 4 keys, wanted 4.6 keys then lowered to 4.5 keys.
4) highballer selling at 5 keys, 1 month old trade xD
5) highballer selling at 5 keys, 1 month old trade xD
last link he overpaid by 2 keys?! ill consider that a outlier xD
My point was not the sellers, but the buyers. I was showing that buyers are willing to pay more than 4 keys for it.
And the last one did not overpay by 4 keys, he overpaid by 2 at the most.
Half of those were highballer traders where you can easily buy for cheaper...not sure if i would consider them.
whoops so sorry i just edited ahaha my bad :(
If you can "easily buy for cheaper", why were the buyers willing to pay higher? It doesn't even matter because a willing buyer above 4 keys means that it is possible to sell above 4 keys.
There were plenty sellers at 4.5 keys, them buying for 5 keys means they were ripped off, please dont tell me that you think ripping people off is okay right...
again most of those trades were highballers selling for 5 keys why buy at 5 if you can get for 4.5 keys easily
You are not being ripped off if you are willing to buy at that price. It was their choice to give up a few pixels for another set of pixels. XD
What don't you understand about this:
If buyers are willing to pay above 4 keys, the high-end of the range should not be below that.
If someone offers to buy something for 4.2 keys, why should the suggested price be 4 keys flat?
A "highball seller" for 5 keys does not matter a single bit. If someone posts an offer above 4 keys, the suggested price should include a range above 4 keys.
How many more times do you want me to say it?
*Totally meant 4 keys+2 ref (4.4 keys) for the 1st link on my post above
Here is more counterproof:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10833651 Willing buyer for 4 keys + 1 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10487949 Sold for 4 keys + 1 ref

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10790878 Sold for 5 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9677775 Sold for this http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10760399 + S. Jag (~5.5 keys)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10627355 (w/ 0.22-0.33 strange part) Sold for F. Scattergun + F. Rocket Launcher (5.8-6 keys)
2) sold after 1 week, not sure if i would consider that valid as he did have it open for a while. (offer was made 1 week ago trade open for 2 weeks)
3) unsold for 3 weeks highest offer 4 keys 1 ref...
5) that was in my proof it has s.part <--- my bad i didnt label in my proof
7) 1 month old trade, finally got sold for an overpay...
8) Thanks like [u]2 keys overpay[u]...probably would have gotten it alot cheaper on any trade lol so ill consider than an outlier xD
2) Willing buyer over 4 keys
3) Willing buyer over 4 keys
5) S. Part is 0.33 ref so it's still over 4 keys
7) Willing buyer way over 4 keys
I don't think you understand the point of my counterproof. I am showing BUYERS over 4 keys, NOT sellers sold above 4 keys.
If people had to wait 1 week + for a decent offer as most of your counter proof suggests it shouldnt be included lolol
Please correct me if i wrong, but i as for one would not want to wait for a week to get a offer in the case of the 3rd link 3 weeks for the highest offer 4 keys 1 ref (offer made after a week, not hard that to find a seller at 4 keys too).
It doesn't matter how long it took, if there is an offer right now, that represents the amount the buyer is willing to pay.
The 3rd link only has 98 views so he probably doesn't bump that much (last bump 9 hrs ago). Most traders prefer sellers with set prices and many stay away from ones that just say "offer." And there was an offer above your suggested range.
COUNTERPROOF #3
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10622645 This trade is mislabeled ("4 keys, 2 refs, 4 days") actually has 2 s. parts and selling for 5 keys, 2 ref

Sold for 4 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10218702 <----- sold for bp price, renamed

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10794064 4.5 keys <----- isnt sold, one of them even has gibs, soldier, descrip and name tag for 5 keys
How does publicizing a trade make it invalid?
Sold for 4 keys+1 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10834388 Was sold, Check his BP
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10794064 4.5 keys "<-- isnt sold, one of them has gibs, soldier, descrip and name tag for 5 keys" The clean one for 4.5 keys is sold. Check the item history
Not saying it's invalid it was sold for 4 keys which is my suggested price... :L
well it got sold for 4 keys (in my suggested range), and if i use it as proof it lets other users see it for the currently lower end of bp so some people buy it. eg it was unsold for 3 days and sold after i used it as proof, which is again in my suggested price range
whoops i apologies for the 1st ink, it was re-listed and outpost didnt show in the history of owners. (i didnt check his bp)
last link gibs, soldier, descrip and name tag for 5 keys (2 keys + 1.66 ref + 1 ref + 2 ref + min 4 keys for the nade) and he is selling for 5 keys, still unsold, you do the maths xD
4 keys also happens to be in the current range :P
Strange parts are decreased in value when attached. Name and descriptions don't add anything to the price.
IT IS SOLD - always check item histories
AND
This is a suggestion for a clean s. grenade launcher (like an unpainted bill's :P)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Upvoted just because unpainted bills is still 8keys no questions asked. PAINTED bills is doing down." -Derpeh
"Painted bills crisis =/= unpainted bills" -Derpeh
Source: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51934583ba2536a43e00000b
well firstly, strange parts do add value (not full value tho) however still does and if you do the maths...yeah dont think ill comment on more.
-------------------------------------------------------
context
Many people on bp wanted to update the price of bills because they saw that painted bills was going down. Using unsuccessful sellers at blk/white bills for 10 keys.
Which is why i said that painted bills is going down not unpainted, thus my comment above. I dont see how this does anything but okay lol
S. Grenade Launcher: 4 keys
Gib Kills: 2 keys
Soldiers K: 0.66-1.33 ref
Total = ~6.2 keys, worth about 5.5-6 keys, so 5 keys is a deal which is why it was sold
I quoted you because we are not discussing prices of a clean strange nade based off of ones w/ extra stuff and subtracting the values of those extra stuff. Thus, whatever amount it comes too, it doesn't matter.
There is no point in me arguing with you because I know that there is no way that this suggestion can be passed with all of the counterproof presented, but you just say things that are so wrong/contradictory that I can't help but comment.
it has names and descript too lol
Normally i would ignore the extra stuff but as the other one was unsold yesterday and in the same trade as the other i thought i would comment on it lol.
There wasnt a need to quite me from something from a while ago, i would have accepted it if you just said it ahaha
My main ways of pricing things are to generally ignore the add ons (paint, strange parts...etc), the duration which the item took to sell (no point having something at like eg 5 keys if it takes you 1-2 weeks to sell right?) and prices which you can find the item for (ignoring highballers such as mr 10 keys above) because who will pay more when you can get for less?
Please correct me if ive been doing things wrong >_<
I am the 4 key + craft hat link guy that you lolol at. Check my proof above, I sold it for indicated price (might have got gold paint actually). The only edits to my OP post is to cross out sold links but keep the price so it can be used in votes like this.
Mmmm i dont believe i was lololing at you xD
I was adding to the proof that it has s.part and loled because the guy using it as counter proof had left out the your nade also had a desp change :)
My apologies if it seemed that i was laughing at you
Generally s parts that are not worth much don't make any difference (worth 1 rec) and name and desc don't matter too much in increasing the price either.
Sorry I jumped to the conclusion that you were laughing at me/my trade.

many selling at 4 keys true
4.2 is still very possible
I was just selling a couple of these the other day and I sold them both for 4.5 keys in items. Also someone wanted to buy one of them from me for pure, but I had already sold it. So I'm gonna have to say downvote.
I absolutely disagree, sold one for 4.5 keys pure a day ago. All it took was a witty post and a day of patience. Fact is lot's of people don't bump every once in a while, I think it is more than possible to sell for 4.5 (saw a few sell for 5 a week ago).
Downvote, proof isn't bad, but it doesn't represent the whole idea in my opinion.
current range is fine
Wow, reading the comments the OP seems to think he's much smarter than he actually is. I love people like that.
Current range is fine, these still sell for over 4 keys as has been shown with ample proof.
some of your unsolds are sold now, also 4.5 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10771979
cheapest price and still unsold
What do you mean cheapest price?
It has 3 strange parts, so it has nothing to do with this suggestion unless you are selling it for 4 keys.
I sell these at 4.2 keys all the time in under an hour. Got an offer of a S Sapper quickly too. These are easy to sell in current range. http://imgur.com/7Cftf3S
yep, within 10 mins of my post being up I got it sold for 4 keys + 1 ref (Taking weps as 2:1 scrap) http://puu.sh/2VwhK.png
Eh lots of good proof. Upvoted.
Why is this still open?
4 flat is wrong because it's not hard to sell for more than that, the only reason to erase high end is when about 2 out of 100 trades succeed in doing so or even try to do so but since your proof is mostly invalid and the counter-proofs show it's possible above 4 this suggestion should be closed so can you please save us the time and your loss of rep and close it yourself?
Let a admin close it and loose himself rep for being ignorant
When will people finally understand that there ARE just lowballers who simply hope to get something with a shit offer. Example: Put a normal bills hat with "offer" on outpost, you will get 6 key offers.
6 keys? that much? you must be lucky then
Good proof. Upvote

A lot of the 4.5 key links have sold, I don't see the need for a price drop...
Too many of the "unsold" links have sold for this drop to be representative of the entire market. Your proof shows 4 keys sells rather easily, and 4.2 keys isn't hard either--all your 4.2 links sold inside of 4 days.
While 4.4 keys and up is a harder sell it's still doable. I don't see enough reason to change the price at this time.
