How is the genuine worth less than the non-genuine?
because the unique ones are rarer than the genuine ones.
while that is an answer, not all `items are based completely on rarity.
for instance there are 160,000 bill's hats and 10,000 lucky shot hats.
a better question is why you dont have proof to support your range.
there are 10 pages on op, i believe you can find some.
Because its so abundant?
no.

Da hell is this crap? Clearly you need to read the rules of this site bro.
There was a subscription of some kind(if I remember correctly), which got you a free genuine chicken hat-this led to pretty much anyone who knew about this get a free genuine robot chicken hat and that's why there wasn't much demand for it-because anyone who done 1 minute of research could find out how to get 1 for free. The unique one was given only to people who done this subscription before the specific date and this kinda makes it the 'genuine' in this case, since now you only get genuines if you order a game before a specified date. I hope this explained why the unique one is expensiver than the genuine one.
