I bought this for a burning company man + 1 filamental hat.

Previous owner wanted a unusual overpay with 25+ for his time warp gib. I offered him my "burning satan" which was a burning company man (clean).
personally i value the clean burning company man at 30+ but since bp.tf has a max at 25 ill put the value in the gib at 25.

im not counting a overpay. im counting the fact how much the burning company man is worth. and thats the value i kept it as.
Well, a burning company man is 22.8.
Which is the middle range of it.
If you factor unusual overpay (you basically get the middle value of the hat, and then *0.9)
So, 22.8*0.9=20.52, so lets say 21 buds with overpay your offer was.

If a dupe gets that then a clean can easily get 25 wouldn't you think?
Duped buds go for the same price, duped burning milkmans go for 1-2 buds less. Dupe doesn't always make the item lower in price and we can't just assume.
Besides, this is bp.tf, so why wouldn't we use bp.tf prices for unusuals?
Down vote as well. This is just you overpaying like shit for it. There shouldn't be a price set until the effects are unavaliable to uncrate or there are more of them.
So if I pay 50 buds for it, that becomes the price? No. You can't base the entire market's price on what you on your own paid for it.
Also, as Jake has said, its ~21 buds with unusual overpay factored in. Easy downvote.

No you can't, he might have overpaid a lot which is why the offer was taken. We can't really know this early.
If that's the case then you can't price any of these new hats right now, but everyone is doing it.
Except those ones have evidence of several offers and an eventual sale. This one has never visibly been on the market, so we do not know what the actual market price is. It could be one inexperienced trader jumping at the opportunity for his favourite hat, or an experienced one knowing that his gibus is only worth 10 buds. Either way, with this little proof in existence, its best to wait.

No, I was talking about the other guy actually, I already looked at it and cowered a little bit in awe...
the gib never made it to outpost. i found the player via the premium search on bp.tf and contacted him directly. he said he had offers of a harvest moon HWNN + sweets already. which is ~25. hes also told me has had pure offers along with mixed unusuals. his b/o was 25 in pure and more in value with unusual overpay.
Thats all the info I needed. Would be helpful to include screenshots of the chat history next time, or at least mention it the offers he got.

Burning company man is a 2 month old price based partially on dupes and whose range has been jerked around by USD. Dug into it to see if I could verify 25 buds as a reasonable price for a clean, leading to offers including clean burning tyrants which itself is a 2 month old price whose range has been jerked around by USD.
High tier unusuals are fun.

Best recent offer I spotted on the clean burning CM was the burning Tyrant's + Beams Guad + Ghosts Marauder. Guad was recently updated, Marauder's a bit old and none on market but a quick scan of nearby effects shows it shouldn't be TOO far off. The Guad and Marauder come to about ~5 together after overpay, so through my method here it comes down to proving clean burning Tyrant's as a reasonable 20.
Then I did a search on burning Tyrant's on outpost, my eyes glazed over, and that's where I left off. I'll have to return to this later.
lol i used to own a burning tyrants and have i sold it for ~20 value.
i used the burning tyrants + steaming hallmark + 18 pure to buy my burning hazmat.

so if you take the 39 - 18 pure = 21. also the value of the steaming hallmark is around 1 - 1.4 so 21 - 1.4 as the high would be = to 19.6 for the value of the burning tyrants.
so yes a burning tyrants can be ~20 buds.

So you bought it for a clean burning company man. The price here is based on a duped one and you got a offer on your company man what should be ~23.5 buds. This is good enough.
