I genuinely don't feel sorry for them. EVERY single item in a crate drops later on, so if you buy at the beginning, you're either desperate or not clever.

Really, mattie could afford to pay ALL #50 items in tf2. Imagine the possible profit for him. If he'd buy all strange sappers, they're gonna skyrocket into hell.

There are 10503 sappers, 6 keys each = wtf price xd

he can buy all the unusaul hats for that price

after having no life, I calculated that if he spent all his backpack, he would have 22000 keys, and would be able to 3651.85 sappers. That's still is 34.7% of all strange sappers, causing a very weird market. He could also buy 47.1% of all strange ullapool cabers. He could also buy every sinhge strange pan/bacon grease out there.

just like collectors, for some its important to be the first to own the items and price is no object.

they're not desperate or clever, they're just another type of collector. a collector of "firsts" i would say ;)

i don't doubt that this will drop to 4 keys or less soon but i think dropping the range completely is a little premature. trade.tf is reporting 4.4 trades still happening today: http://trade.tf/price/212/11

someone may want to poke around those trades to see more proof one way or there other - if this suggestion is still open later i'll try and go through those (am at work)

Cleverpun stated this week we can't use trade.tf as proof as its still in beta.

it's not proof. it's an engine that helps with proof finding tho. i will go through those later to see if there's some selling at > 4 keys

I know how it works, I use it myself. I searched the deals, and there's 4 pages filled there with 4 flat. One for 3 too, but it sold and outpost link shows no proof anymore (changed notes))

don't search deals, search listings.

anyway - like i said, your proof may be spot on - i'm just suggesting someone take some time to actually check this suggestion instead of waxing philosophical about how much the #50 items have fallen in price or taking time to figure out how many sappers (crate #40, btw) mattie! could afford... :) :) :)
