Merely refreshing the price. A month ago when it was changed it was bumped from 2.5 buds down to 2.4 buds... or 2.6 to 2.5... something like that... and I have no idea why but BP.TF has been dropping the price by itself every so often. Proof has been hard to find. I don't know how to find completed trades so if anyone has proof in that department, I'd love an explanation on how to find such trades. As it is, all I have are some offers made by other players. I will not include buyouts into this as buyouts mean jack shit.

First we have my trade. I'm going to overlook the GE Detective Noir offer due to the fact that I had to add and he never specified. After that, the S. Gunslinger + Machina + Holy Mackerel offer is best. He offered a better one after but I couldn't get a screenshot. I'll leave his other offer so you can either believe it or not but I only have proof for his first. Roughly 52 keys. If you factor in overpay you'd get roughly 49-50 keys. I'm not sure how to calculate item overpay especially for salvaged stranges. I know it's 0.9 for unusuals but... at the time of offer when buds were 22 keys it was roughly a 2.3 bud offer. His other offer was the Gunslinger + Machina + a Green Confetti Big Chief. After unusual overpay I get roughly 58-59 keys (took the Chief to be 14 keys on the 13-17 range). At the time it was a 2.6-2.7 bud offer.

Moving on... discounting the $95 dollar offer. Most likely a scammer.

2 Buds pure was offered as well as a Stormy Storm Brain Slug which is roughly 2 buds after unusual overpay.

2.5 buds pure offer.

Searing Nano + 1 bud = 2.2 buds after unusual overpay.

These trades really have no offers. The only offers i see are a Blizz Flamenco which is 1.9 buds after overpay and a continuous offer of a Blizz Fedora.

Not proof but these are all the other trades on Outpost so you can see for yourself whether or not to believe that this hat needs a slight "refixture" as it is.

SO! Where does my range come from...

I'm setting the low end where it always has been. 1.9 buds. Pretty simple. Many of the offered hats are shy of 2 buds, a bit less. 2 buds pure has been offered a few times as well indicating that people are very willing to pay that price. So 1.9 buds.

Now the high end I will reset to 2.4 buds as it originally was pre-backpack.tf going wonky. Reason for this? Based on the offers. 2.5 pure was offered. So, Queen, why not set it at 2.5 buds? Because that was one case. I don't see many pure offers from the proof I posted as well as past trades. I got a 2.3 bud after overpay offer so I thought a nice balance of putting it at 2.4 buds as the high end seems justifiable.

Now to answer the age old question of is this man trying to bump up his backpack price. Well, folks, I don't know. I'd like to believe this is purely out of a sense of justice and wanting to right wrong prices but I am human therefore I am a greedy son of a bitch so you decide for yourself!

Also, anyone know why exactly backpack.tf has been lowering the price of unusuals without suggestions? Either I'm going nuts or my hat went from 2.4 down to 2.2 seemingly overnight.

It's something to do with currency changing.

Are they tying unusuals to cash or something? That would make sense but also kind of annoys me a bit...

"Unusual prices are stored in USD value, so if currency like key change it's normal." Brad Pitt.

Ah. Thanks for that. Doesn't seem like the best idea for lower tier hats. ._.
