Only offering proof from one source but this guy has enuff stock for alot of people.

Understandable transaction for someone buying keys at $2 each via the expanders.

Also seen a few other people trying to buy 2 expanders for 1 key as well.

If the price remains at 3ref each a nice scenario of "free metal" arises i.e.: buy 2 expanders for 1 key, resell those 2 for 6ref, buy a full priced key 5.33 or so and pocket some free recs. Rinse & repeat for unlimited free metal provided a steady influx of expanders is available.

Even if this suggestion is closed do yourself a favor a grab some cheap expanders just to stock for later or make some fast free recs :D Enjoy.

Edit: Ok I have to close my outpost ad, as soon as I put this suggestion up I had multiple trades with people throwing 2 expanders at me for 1 key.

So actually I might be overpaying paying at this point :D

If I do buy anymore it will be for less than 2 for 1 key, and I have enuff as is.

If you can sell these at 3 ref a pop, there is no shortage of people willing to sell them at 2 for 1 key, that means you guys will have a ball racking up those free recs, I havent tried to sell em I'm just stocking up for laters.

After reading all the comments, I would recommend resubmitting this for 2.66-3.00 ref.

It's pretty easy to get them at a low of 2.66 Ref - I have had a couple people promise me unlimited backpacks at this price.

Here's why: In other countries outside the US people get discounts along with the existing discount. In most cases it's about 0.80$ each - which is about 2.28 Ref for the buyer. Then they sell it for about 2.66 to big buyers (About 0.93$ each) turning profit.

It's more of a case of who's buying, big sellers don't take the time to sell 2-4 BP expanders to someone but are happy to help people who are buying 40+ of them at once. It's more of a case of retail to wholesale!

This is just silly. People are happy to buy them for 3 ref.

And people are happy to sell them at 2 for 1 key, that means you make a nice chunk of reclaimed.

So it could be many people doing this.

And it makes sense for people that are buying into the game and don't want to spend 2.15-2.50 per key, instead they buy 2 expanders @.99cents each and trade for 1 key which comes out to $2 per key for them.

He had about 50+ expanders or more at the time of posting, now its dwindled down and tons of keys in their place :D

I didn't ask you to make a very vague estimate ("many") of how many people are selling 2 expanders for 1 key. One example is not enough.

You'll have to go find out for yourself, I already gave you guys a sweet stockpile of cheap expanders to buy.

3 ref is good enough. The majority are selling and buying it for 3 ref.

You better hope it stays at 3ref for a bit longer so everyone can pocket their profits fast, with this guy resupplying constantly and more people listing at 3ref means you'll have to settle for 2.66-2.88 to get any sold.

Only if that dude either has infinite steam money (unlikely) or tons of expanders already stocked. The guy is making no money if he is then selling the key through market and buying more expanders (the margin is very small or negative most of the time). IF that is the case he will notice the lack of any positive revenue and stop

I sell backpack expanders without much trouble for 3.33.

I personally think that range should be 2.66-3.33, since there certainly are people who buy expanders 2 for a key, but they are quite easy to sell too.

3.33 would be too high. There are many sales and sellers at 3 ref. If anything, the price range should be 2.66 - 3 or 3 ref.

If people are willing to sell them for 3 ref, this means that you can get them for less if someone doesn't want to wait hours to get 1 reclaimed more since tons of people sell them for 3 ref.
