Suggestion: Mann Co. Supply Crate Key at 5–5.33 ref

I'm pretty sure the only reason that there are sellers at 5--5.22 is because bp.tf says so. If you look at the sellers for 5-5.11, most of them are new to trading. It doesn't make sense to sell at 5-5.22 when you can sell at 5.33-5.44 in less than a minute... Especially because there are lots of buyers.

Seeing as there are buyers and sellers at above the high end of the sugested price, along with buyers at the high end, the range should NOT be expanded to compensate for the 5 ref trades, for it disrupts the accuracy of the average. If anything the average should be around 5.33, because of the comon 5.55-5.66 sales and the comon 5-5.11 sales. The true price is 5.33 because that is where the majority of the sales happen, also were the most sucessfull buyers are at. This is evidenced by tf2 finance, whos average is around 5.27-33, scrap.tf witch is constantly sold out at buying for 5.22 and selling for 5.55, and finaly trade.tf witch shows that a good deal is anything under 5.22 ref.

Pretty much what Jucchan42 said. There are so many buyers at 5.33, some at 5.44, and most who sell at 5 Refined - 5.22 Refined are mostly from inept traders.

Edit everything that is 5.33 and below out, then we can start working from there.

Alright, I want to point out some points:

The number of keys sold at 5.44 is still less than 5 ref.

Keys are different from ANY other item in TF2, the definition of "quicksell" is different for keys than other items. A quicksell for other items are what, gone in 30 minutes? I can say that a key at 5.33 WILL be gone at 30 minutes, but why is it in the range? Because many people buy/sell at that range. A key at 5 ref will be sold at the same speed as a key at 5.11 and 5.22, so should we eliminate those from the range too?

Spamming, "good, good, let's fix the economy!" will NOT help get this suggestion to pass. If you want it to pass, I suggest you find proof that will actually help.

My answer to that is yes, we should eliminate 5-5.22 from the range and make it 5.33-5.55. The low end should be what people are buying for and succeeding well (5.33) and the high should be what you can sell for, even if it takes a little longer(5.55).

Also, alot of them are bots, built to buy and sell keys for profit, its not lazyness, its taking a smaller profit per buy and resell so they profit more in the long run.

If these people buying for more than 5.33 refined are truly lazy, then surely they would have been taken advantage of by now and be out of metal by now for buying keys at such a high price, yet it seems that is not the case because these people still have metal they're willing to spend and the number of "lazy" people buying for this price is growing daily even if you do not see a noticeable difference. Quite frankly this same idea of "laziness" can be applied to those sellers that sell for below 5.33 refined because they are not searching for the best deal they can get with the items they have. This disparity of perception conveys you as being very singularly minded and not open to the view point of others.

Pun's suggestion had a fair bit of 5 refined sales there also, obviously not an even split and it did look in favour of higher end, but in total it was not a massive difference in volume, to try to offset chiggas suggestion proof with puns is quite courageous.

Its weird that everyone has so much counter proof from a few days ago... when this suggestion is only 10 hours old. Proof 2 days ago might as well be a week or a month ago. Here is currently *at this moment* what people are selling them for within this suggested spread. Most prices out of the 400+ listings are 5.55 - 5.66 with 6 ref keys shortly behind those. The locusts insta buy keys as soon as they appear, so blink and you miss them.

Out of 400+ listings there are only 20 listings that meet the spread. Making me think 5.44 ref is the quicksell price.

As for your second section of "SUCCESSFULL SELLERS @ 5.55-5.66 ref" I skimmed over the links and many of them are still open trades, with noone even replying as "added" . A few have "added" replies, most do not. I could post a topic for selling keys at 5.88 refined, but without any adds it does not mean much does it? So congratulations you've proved very little other than peoples' natural desire to try to hike up a price to get more.. and used up a page worth of space doing so.

Lol mate your intelligence has to be applauded. You choose to turn a blind eye to everything { people's comments, proof's counter proofs, moderators etc etc } and cling to 5 ref.

Open trades for 5.55-5.66 means keys sold and are available, unlike your one key posts, which may or may not be sold at 5 ref. I have shown your proofs for more then 300 keys sold by me and another guys 1-4 days ago, and each of us have more then 500 keys each even now and we flip, so its a continuous process. We just do not have time to waste on the likes of you, printing screens everytime.

And like other trades, buyers seldom do not post before adding. they just add unless specifically required to post.

I hope once this suggestion get slammed shut on your face like previous one, it would snap you out of your dreamworld. It's a pity that previous suggestion that was slammed on your and chigga's face by admins, did not teach you anything, neither you decided to learn anything from it.

Go ahead, make keys 2.66 ref watch those that sell at 2.66 get rolled and flipped for 5.66. Its not advice, its moreso... why try to stop it when you can profit from it? I can buy up every key for 6 ref right now knowing in 4 weeks or less I can sell them all for 6.33 ref. I wouldn't wait that long but other people would.

I'm not supportive in selling keys at outrageous prices to Russians. I'm saying Russians don't care. They make so much profit from Russian games that paying 6 ref per key doesn't matter to them. And yes they deal with keys, but I'm sure they'll value a key at 6 ref because it keeps them flipping games wooo....

Think of the people that buy keys for $2.50 are you saying their $2.50 is more than your FREELY OBTAINED REFINED METAL? $2.50 != free

THEY RARELY DEAL WITH METAL TRADES. Anyone with trading knowledge in TF2 will tell you that they rarely accept metal for keys, and primarily deal with cash transactions when it comes to currency items like keys, Bill's Hats, and Earbuds. When paying for games, If the price is set at 1.5 keys, you actually pay 2 keys for the game, because they so not want to deal with metal.

Yet they'll take 6 ref in place of a key. Let's go ask them. Sometimes they sell games for X keys + 2 ref to undercut competitors by a ref or so.

And black market keys tend to be around $1.80 now... but Russians just keep putting keys into steam market and not cashing out anymore. You should check who's selling multiple keys on steam market.

Anyway, all of this is kinda useless talk. Even if this price change goes through, a new one will just override it.

I think its quite For quite hysterical that people are showing proof only by trades made on outpost.

Outpost is a website where people high ball and low ball all the time, people buy low and sell high and some people buy high and sell even higher.

Your only going by simple trades, if you hade acual proof that these trades have been made and completed it would be a different story.

Its rather interesting by most thoughts cause many people complain that the price of keys going up is bad, but yet the people who votes for prices to go up are the people that complain so much.

The funny side to this is, not only are the keys going to reach 10 Refine, but when the was alot of commotion about the owner of spreadsheet raising the prices so he could get more than its accually worth your all doing the same thing, as that person had been trade banned for what he did, im just going to wait untill it happens to you all.

Keys are meant to be only bought with actual money from Mann Co. Store, Metal comes from the weekly drops, Keys are just to uncrate, Refined is just to craft Hats and tokens, I know this actual community-based economy is not perfect, but if you don't agree with it, you can still buy keys to uncrate your series #57, use your refined to craft hats, and try to switch your weapons for 1:1.

Any and all "proof" at 5-5.11 is completely null and void when massive amount of buyers exist at 5.22, 5.33 and above.

I will ONLY consider "proof" of 5-5.11 refined when the range and amount of buyers at above those prices dwindle. For now, they are not.

From now on, any key suggestion using trade.tf fair deal "proofs" which sell in 5-10 seconds to lower the price of keys when I can search outpost and find numerous 5.22+ buyers in the same 5-10 seconds will be closed with no warning.
