Counter suggestion to ERASER [BY].

Reposted, made more accurate.

No, I'm not a greedy person that wants to raise the price of my hat, I'm done from trading. I just think that Eraser did not realize some of offers and values of items that were stated.

First Sale

The hat was first seen on Outpost with Black Beard: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10894317

The sale is unknown, but Eraser claims for it to be sold at 103 keys. (Buds were 22 keys at the time.) = 4.7 buds.

Second Sale

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10895747

KARL was the second owner on Outpost, following Black Beard.

Offers:

Anti-freeze Sola Topi + 1 bud [4 buds]

5.3 buds in items

Third Sale

http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/24500

Sword Art Online was the third owner on Outpost.

Sold for Power Surge Hermes + Smoking Outdoorsman + Orbiting Merryweather.

Merryweather --> 1.25 buds.

Total: 6.5 buds in Unusuals. (6.2 buds with overpay.)

Fourth Sale

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10998669

Lonecat was the fourth owner on Outpost.

Note that this was not a scammed trade, at the time he was not banned. Lonecat is marked for phising, but most likely got hacked, as put on steamrep.

Offers:

6 buds + sweets {Collecting}

Stormy Juju + Planets Berliner + Blizzardy Yellow Belt (5.5 buds)

3 buds + items/pure sweets (5.5 bud)

Sold for a Scorching Milkman (duped, 5.3) + Sweets. (5.5 with overpay.)

Fifth Sale

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11158459

This is the final sale, to the owner, me.

I have no intentions of selling this for profit.

Bought with my BP, worth 5.4 buds at the time.

Conclusion: ERASER has had a nice start to the price range of the Gibus, but some of the proof was skipped over and devalued. My current offer is worth almost 8 buds, and ERASER used my "Low Offers" section as proof instead. Considering other offers (Blizzardy KE, Green Black Hole Buckaroos Hat, Sell for a Scorching Milkman, etc.), the 4.5 is too low in the range. Never had this hat sell for below 4.7 in pure.

Why is 5 in the range?

Many sales went for around 5.4; some at 5.5 in items, some for 5.4 in Unusuals/items. (Scorching Milkman + Sweets.) I bought mine for around 5.4. The first two sales were below 5.4, yes, but since we are pricing the current price of hats, and the offers on this hat quickly increased in value, having a range below 5 buds would be useless, because higher value offers are being given. Black Beard's sale is unknown, so I am using ERASER's claim there. I personally talked to KARL, who was quickselling the hat to cash out. Since the majority of the sales fall within my current range, I think that this would be more fitting than a lower end.

Why is 6.1 in the range?

Considering the common amounts of offers I have recieved, and the offer at around 7.5 buds in Unusuals, I think that this would be a fair peak range to price the Steaming Gibus at. Sword Art Online also sold his/hers 6.5 buds in Unusuals, or 6.2 with overpay.

For all those who thought my range was too high, I lowered it. I think that this should be a bit more accurate.

But those hats we have no prices -NO PROOF

You know, one thing about your logic really hurts me.

"But those hats we have no prices -NO PROOF"

Just because backpack.tf does not set a price for it, doesn't mean we can't find proof.

        Current offer:

Electrostatic Hat of Cards (4.5 buds+) + Phosphorus Stout Shako (3 buds+) + Green Confetti Heavy Duty Rag (0.5 buds) + Sweets.

        Electrostatic Hat of Cards --> 4.5 buds+ http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11280065

        - Offered a Beams Helmet Without a Home (5.2 buds), but retracted.

        - Offered a whole BP (Nuts n' Bolts TC + S.F. Huntsman + Sweets = 3.4 buds)

You can check the offers yourself, they're there. The guy sold them for very strange items, but check the offers yourself.

Same guy, different offers. He took certain offers because of specialty, and probably due to preference.

Hat of Cards: Offered a whole BP (4.6 buds.)

Stout Shako: Also offered a whole BP (Including a Nuts n' Bolts TC and a S.F. Huntsman, 3.4 buds.)

        Protector: 12 - 14 keys. (0.5 buds.)

Cowl was gifted by a Highlander player, probably bought due to specialty. Don't ask me why he didn't take the lower offers.

Reasons for high range are stated in the description.

If you can't read that, well, here they are:

Sword Art Online was offered a Nuts n' Bolts collection, and then said to have the hat worth 4 - 5 buds.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11190782 Power Surge Scott Bonnet is said to have offers potentially of 6 buds.

In total, the Unusuals offered are worth around 6.5 buds for Sword Art Online.

Benbon mostly wanted an All-Class Hat, so that's why he was selling his hats.

"You know, one thing about your logic really hurts me.

"But those hats we have no prices -NO PROOF"

Just because backpack.tf does not set a price for it, doesn't mean we can't find proof."

          - I found evidence and for what price those hats were sold ^^

what you wrote - Offer for those hats can not be taken as conclusive evidence, so I wrote " no price -NO PROOF"

I never said you didn't find proof, I said that the logic that if a hat is not priced on BP.TF, proof cannot be found is bad.

And I couldn't find where I said, "Offer for those hats can not be taken as conclusive evidence". It's rare that I use grammar like that.

          http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11320764

Stout Shako offered 1 bud + 1 Max's Head (3.3 buds in pure.)

Right away, the value of the offer, even with the rest of your prices at the ones you stated, is already above 5.5 buds, in your range. 6.8+

it's just an assumption, if you will form an price suggestion at hat and it will accepted , it will be possible to talk about than that, now there is no price at hat

              That's horrible logic.

You're saying that you don't take offers into account for prices; because one hat was bought, most likely to significance, but there was another offer that was rejected that was higher, it's declared an "assumption"?

Your 103 keys was not worth 4.3 buds back then; buds were 22 keys at the time, and therefore worth 4.68 buds.

If hat sold for Ghosts Conjurer's Cowl (~3 pure )- its price 3 buds , but not 3.3 buds -offer for hat - what here "horrible logic" , if I offer for a hat 20 keys you'll consider that the hat is worth 20 keys ? 6.8- this is great , but where did you get those numbers ? -offers =/= price hat

Now price 1 bud -24 keys.

It sold for a Green Fetti Towering Pillar of Hats, 'cause the guy desperately wanted an All-Class hat.

You seem to have your own counter-proof mixed up, get it straight before you comment again. :)

                  You said:

"Your C/O- " Electrostatic Hat of Cards (~3) + Phosphorus Stout Shako(~1.8) + Green Confetti Heavy Duty Rag (0.5 buds) + Sweets~5.5 maximum."

The Stout Shako was sold because the trader wanted an All-Class hat badly.

                  http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11320764

Here we see an offer of 3.3 that was rejected. Note that this is in pure.

You said, "Stout Shako (~1.8)", when the hat was offered 3.3 buds. Offers do not price the hat, correct, but if they are higher than what they sold for in the past, and rejected, then they should be taken into consideration. I took your original equation (3 + 1.8 + 0.5 + Sweets = 5.5) and replaced the 1.8 with 3.3, because that was what the hat was offered and rejected. 3 + 3.3 + 0.5 = 6.8. Now you've learned how I do math :)

Let me explain the logic part.

Lets say that I've unboxed a Searing Plasma Dashin' Hashshashin.

I have a Nuts n' Bolts collection with every single hat except for a Team Captain.

Although I have received offers of 2 Max's Heads, I still want this Team Captain very badly. I sell my Dashin' Hashshashin for the Nuts n' Bolts Team Captain. (~3 buds.)

Here we see a situation. Out of desperation/wanting, a trader gives up profit for personal wants. When pricing this Dashin' Hashshashin, we still must take into consideration the offer of 2 Max's Heads. Of course, you know this, you've made almost 190 Unusual suggestions that were accepted. You cannot just say, "Oh, he sold it for the TC, so that's the price." You gotta know if the guy did the trade because it was a good deal, or because he wanted it out of personal crave.

There are two things about your logic that don't make sense.

                  1) If there's no price set on BP.TF, there's no proof.

                  2) Offers don't count as proof.

When you look at them, you just go, "What?"

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11320764 -For this to be is true , the price (3,3- Stout Shako )must accept on the site ,now it not proof only assumption. The same thing with Electrostatic Hat of Cards ~3 or more I'm not sure .

If price for that hat ( Stout Shako and Electrostatic Hat of Cards ) will be accepted -I will not have any objections to the price 5- 6.1-or higher , now -no price -no proof

You're basically saying, that for an offer to be true, it has to be accepted?

If an offer is rejected because it's too low, it does not count as valid proof? What?!

The offer was clearly made in the last day, and it was clearly rejected because it was not enough... how can this not be used as proof?

Counting this as "no price" and "no proof" is just simply ridiculous. If offers are not taken, basically you're saying that you cannot use them. Of course you can. If an offer is too low and is rejected, you cannot say that the hat is worth less than the rejected offer, unless the owner of the hat wanted something else, which is clearly not the case.

"You're basically saying, that for an offer to be true, it has to be accepted?

If an offer is rejected because it's too low, it does not count as valid proof? What?!"-I said about price suggestion - price will be accepted on site.

On the site no price Phosphorus Stout Shako , Electrostatic Hat of Cards and Power Surge Hermes - this is the essence and I say "no price- no proof "

Would you mind making that on simpler terms? The grammar in the two lower sentences is quite confusing.

Anyway, the Stout Shako is definitely not 1.8 buds... there's offers at over 3 buds. I'm not going to waste my time arguing over this by so much, so admins, when you see this suggestion, you better appreciate the amount of work I spend on this :D

i feel this one is more accurate than the other one. upvoted

hard to believe anyone would offer 5 buds or more a steaming gibus

            lol

              It's pretty god-tier now.

IT's a gibus. The Hat of Hats. Course it's god-tier.

Due to ERASER's constant argument with me, I will post some conclusive evidence for admins to look at.

              First: Eraser's range.

              Low End:

The low end is too low. From gathered evidence, Eraser concluded that 4.4 buds would be low enough, because the first sale was at 103 keys. However, at the time, Earbuds were at 22 keys each... the low end cannot be priced due to the price now. 103/22 = 4.68, or 4.7. Already we can see that this low end is too low. Also, this is only one sale inside the history of this hat.

              High End

Many offers and sales reach above the high end of ERASER's suggestion, and even mine, but I have made it more reasonable to prevent arguments. 5.4 buds does not include all the offers made on my trades, and sales. Sword Art Online's sale for the 3 Unusual hats is worth 6.5 buds in Unusuals; the Power Surge Hermes can be priced by the offer it received: a Power Surge Scott Bonnet, which is on OP with high valued offers. This 6.5 can be refined down to 6.2 due to overpay. Another reason that ERASER's suggestion has a flaw is my offers on my trade, which can be found below.

              Next: My range

              Low End:

The low end fits most of the sales that have been for this hat. It is not too low, but includes every sale except the first one. The first one has brought the lower end down.

              High End:

Due to the high offers I've received on my trade, and Sword Art Online's sale, I have priced this hat this way.

Electrostatic Hat of Cards (4.5 buds+) + Phosphorus Stout Shako (3 buds+) + Green Confetti Heavy Duty Rag (0.5 buds) + Sweets.

              Electrostatic Hat of Cards --> 4.5 buds+ http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11280065

              - Offered a Beams Helmet Without a Home (5.2 buds), but retracted.

              - Offered a whole BP. http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/279258 (Stormy Storm Modest = 4.6 buds.)

              - Offered a Green Black Hole Helmet Without a Home.

              Phosphorus Stout Shako --> 3 buds+

              http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11264171

              - Offered a whole BP (Nuts n' Bolts TC + S.F. Huntsman + Sweets = 3.4 buds)

              http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11320764

              - Offered a Max's Head + 1 bud (3.3 buds)

ERASER is pricing these hats by sales, but the seller wanted an All-Class hat, and in this situation, he/she did not care about profit. Even when using ERASER's prices (1.8 + 3 + 0.5) and replacing his price for the Shako, which was obviously offered 3.3 buds and rejected, we get above both my and his range. (3.3 + 3 + 0.5 = 6.8)

Have you only made this range higher because you own one?

"No, I'm not a greedy person that wants to raise the price of my hat, I'm done from trading"

You're done with trading? If anything I'd call this trading... http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11158459

Yep, definitely trading to me :)

                  Greedy? I think not.

                  http://tf2r.com/kcm734w.html

                  http://tf2r.com/kbdlz25.html

If you know me, you'll know what I mean. The gibus is my dream hat; I'm only making this price suggestion to not let others overlook the actual value of this hat.

The trade is up there for offers, just to see how much my hat actually is.

This hat is more symbolic to me than it is as value. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11178906 You could also call this trading, but I'm basically restarting, the slow way, with the same items I started with.

Also, final line in orange. I used to have a whole thing about how I was over with trading, didn't want people adding me, etc., until people started overlooking it and complaining that it was too long, so they didn't read it.

Range higher because I own one? No, definitely not.

                  http://backpack.tf/vote/id/514e479dba2536e374000003

As you can see in the past, I make ranges based on sales and offers that I find.

There's a whole buncha proof up there, and I've spent over an hour putting different reasonings.

The range is higher because ERASER's range did not include some things... for example, for my trade, he listed my "low offers" instead of my "current offer", which is worth over 7 buds. I can write everything out about pricing it here, so ask if you want. Another reason is because of Sword Art Online's sale, which is above 6 buds in Unusuals.

Hey, sorry if I seemed to come on so strong, was just trying to make a point. I didn't try to focus on the greedy bit I just wanted to point out you are still trading and from my view it seemed like you were bumping the price up for your benefit.

It's okay, I understand your suspicion. Just gotta make a strong argument, convince everybody possible.

You probably know that, you're a great suggestor and all.

Hopefully I can convince you, if you need any other evidence or have questions, feel free to ask me.
