Something tells me a key is hard to get on these...
The 5 Ref one is sold.
Most of the trades were up for less than a day, but for some reason I feel like I should upvote this.
I'm not done putting up links. Refresh every 5 min and you'll see more - and the 5 ref isn't sold yet. He closed the trade and made a new one
Aah, sorry, my bad, didn't notice it.
Upvote, tons of proof and valid suggestion
Tons unsold at 1 Key...I upvote
I sold it for a key less than a week ago http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11118805 it took about 2 days
Thanks. Some people just have skillz. You should add Michael Puddington to give him some tips on how to trade. ;)
upvote ONLY for michael
I love how someone went in and downvoted every comment XD
Unsolds are not valid proof.
That said, seems like a fair amount of people willing to sell for less. Wouldn't mind seeing a few more traders looking to sell in the 4.66-5 ref range.
I agree with your point in general. First, I am leaving 1 key at the high end. And, in this case, I think the unsolds are used to make a point. Genuines are fairly uncommon items. When there are this many available for 1 key, it's going to be hard to sell. When a guy like Michael is having trouble with massive autobump, definitely needs a bump down.
It's been another full day for me. This time at 4.66 and still no bites. I'm not going to lower my price any lower. If these are indeed worth 5 refined, then I shouldn't need to.
This is a case of lazy buyers. The supply probably isn't that much larger than demand, but the demand is comprised mostly of either people who can't be asked to break up a key to save a few reclaimed or people who aren't willing to pay a key. The result is pages and pages unsold at 1 key for several days or weeks, while a lucky few get picked from the bunch by lazy buyers.
The question is do we keep the price at a key simply because of the few sales at that price or do we use the market as a whole to discern a price that someone can reliability get in a reasonable amount of time. This is like if every Earbuds seller insisted on 30 keys and only a few sales at that price happened each day. Sure, the sales reflect 30 keys, but there is actually a optimum price below that which we never get to see simply because sellers refuse to lower their price (or because they blindly follow a website that says it's 30 keys).
I agree in general. But this is a case where I do think supply >> demand. Just look at the massive block of sellers at a key. That was my point of including all of them. In general, I agree with Vincent that unsolds shouldn't be used as the sole source of proof. But here, the sheer number suggest that supply >> demand.
I just sold mine at 4.33 (first trade ) :)
As far as I can tell, four have sold after a day, one at 4.33, one at 4.66 (from classifieds) and two of the 1 key sales. Out of the two at one key, I think only one actually sold for a key. The other was retraded immediately.
In the meantime, this new one popped up at 4.66 ref - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11438461. And a new one popped up at 5 ref on classifieds, making it 3 at 4.66 and 2 at 5 ref.
And here's what happens to lots of people trying to sell for a key:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11193544 - selling for 4.33 ref - but ended up selling for 4 ref on a buyers thread
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11168508 - sold for 4 ref on a buyers thread
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11194486 - sold for 4 ref on a buyers thead
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11193166 - sold for 3.66 ref on a buyers thread
could you not use my trade as proof? I'm trying to quicksell it because I got it as part of overpay from another trade. I listed for 4.66 because that's the lowest on classified at the time.
"quicksell" implies that you can quickly sell it. Let's see if you are able to sell quickly for 4.66 ref. Michael, who has massive autobump, has been unable to sell at 4.66 for 2-3 days. And that trade of yours led me to this:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11344172 - seller for 4 ref.
Just sold mine. Took a little less than 2 days. The other two guys asking 4.66 in classifieds still haven't sold theirs after 24 hours, so I think 4.66 belongs in the range.
