Suggestion: Mann Co. Supply Crate Key at 5.33–5.44 ref

- Do NOT suggest a new price range for keys that is only a .5 scrap difference from the last suggestion. We do not need this constant spamming of .5 scrap changes.

- ***EXCEPT*** if the price has been stable for ~7 days and only a small change is needed.

I like how he's specifically avoided this point. This is a .5 scrap change and it has been less than a week, heck, less than a day. He's trying to quote the mods other points down below, but he can't pick and choose which words to follow.

From now on, any key suggestion using trade.tf fair deal "proofs" which sell in 5-10 seconds to lower the price of keys when I can search outpost and find numerous 5.22+ buyers in the same 5-10 seconds will be closed with no warning.

That will never ever happen. Keys are like US gas prices they will never go back to $1-2 (2.33) they will only rise with the slight possibility that they may dip 30 cents (1 scrap)

Never. No sense in having any sort of hope unless you like wishing for impossible things to happen, I from time to time wish I could fly.

My main reasoning behind the FACT keys will never drop is say you go to the mann co store and spend $2.50 do you want 6 ref for a lousy 2.33 for it? Of course you want every ref you can with the money you just spent. Even if you spend $2.30 at the market or $1.55 via paypal you will always want more for your money. EDIT: And theres nothing wrong with that.

Wait 3 days, people are scrambling around to make whatever profits they can from keys by charging a scrap higher than normal. If we attempt to simply follow and price keys according such a volatile phenomena, we'll only add gas to the fire of inflation.

on the subject of key changes, lets assess what we know. I will try my best to stick to the facts and if anyone has additions or counter arguments, feel free to respond. however, please be respectful to myself and others spamming hatred does not solve anything. keys have not become more rare or in any way affected by anything valve has put forth. refined, although inflating over time, does not explain the dramatic increase in key price.

when have keys started to rise? when backback.tf became a popular alternative to spreadsheet around october to december of 2012. Backpack became more popular because it appears to be a democratic approach to key prices where spreadsheet was completely dominated by the few(the owner and his friends). since then the price of keys has risen dramatically up to 5.44 ref (from 2.88-3 ref). now it isn't even popular opinion that keys should be rising, the administrators of backpack have started to accept key rises with as little as 28%* popular vote (*lowest that i have seen). It was then that i realized that backpack is only masquerading as a democratic voting system, that in fact, the site is completely dominated by the few that are in charge. the administrators are showing their greed to the public and don't even have the decency to cover it up. the only thing we can do now is hope another spreadsheet is made by people who are less power hungry and greedy, or that the site can be renovated in order to actually be a democratic system.

The more keys rise the better.

I supported Doopliss with some trade proofs and all, but that was 1 day ago. 1 day. I mean, you may have a good reason for this, but there must be some buffer time.

As much as I'm still selling keys at 5.66, staying neutral since there is a few day cooldown on these key suggestions.

Price suggestion was just accepted yesterday. Please give this item a couple of days to stabilize before resuggesting.
