Why 2 Keys is a quicksell:

One of the supposed reasons the 2 Keys – 2.4 Keys was accepted was because, quote unquote, “the question of whether 2 keys is quicksell hasn't been answered sufficiently.” Here is my explanation to why the exclusion of 2 Keys is needed.

First of all, the proof of a total of 16 paint cans sold in the course of a week at 2 Keys is not a reason to include 2 Keys.

Also, most buyers buy white paint at 2 Keys solely to re sell it at a higher price. Quicksell Buyers are not legitimate proof.

Furthermore, here are some links at 2 Key sells. Only going to include some, but I've gone through all the sells at 2 Keys, and I would say nearly all of them are getting resold for higher!

There are currently no sellers open at 2 Keys. At all. There is absolutely no reason for 2 Keys to still be in the range.

There are only 3 pages of sellers on outpost. So 23 sales (a whole page worth on op) at 2-2.1 is a significant sample size. Find enough sellers >2.4 to balance the sellers at 2, and you will have an argument.

Instead of copying and pasting trades that happened a week ago, please provide counter proof of sales at 2 Keys within the last 3 days.

These were the only ones from the last 3 days, which doesn't add up to "half of them." None of them are selling for exactly for 2 Keys. either. One link was selling for 2 Keys, but changed his price due to the massive amount of adds, which basically proves that you are just copy and pasting week old proof, and using that as counter proof.

Like I said, please go out and provide any recent proof of sales, and please do not exaggerate your counter proof.

And that one sale you are using to call me a liar was selling at 2 keys when I posted before changing it.

It's hard to find proof of actual sales on outpost. Look at any suggestion. Proof from the last week is almost always considered acceptable, especially for something like this paint which is slow to change in the absence of a sale. I don't understand how you can simply shrug off proof that's as recent as a week.

Anyways. I'm done. I gave my rationale before and 80% of voters agreed with me. Good luck with your suggestion.

I'm not shrugging it off, I just don't think their is any current 2 Key trades open to justify a range that includes it, especially when many are willing to pay higher, and not wait around to get a 2 Key trade. Why you're being rude, and making this a personal matter is beyond me.

That is up to the mods to decide. It's a tough call either way. And rather meaningless, if you ask me.

Talking to the mods here since Doopliss doesn't seem to understand where I am coming from:

Even I am having a hard to time finding white paints for 2 keys in the last 3 days. At the time I made my suggestion (3 days ago), I had 19 links of sellers at 2-2.1 keys. In the last 3 days, I have found a grand total of 3. Two took several hours to sell, but it still is hard to find 2 key sellers any more. One possibility is that there is much more volume on the weekend (a ton of my links are from last Saturday and Sunday) and it may be that in the next two days several more 2 key sellers will pop up. I just don't know. I don't trade in paints and was only giving proof of what I thought was a doable buy - white paint for 2 keys. It seems like that is a challenge now.

To Doopliss: "Why you're being rude, and making this a personal matter is beyond me." Where you ever thought I was being rude, I won't understand. This whole time I was just making a case for 2 keys because I thought it was doable. If I offended you, I apologize. I also found it odd that I was being called rude by the person who called me a liar, lazy, and essentially stupid in the same thread: "is laughable"

I actually don't think so. If people were actively selling in this range, I would expect them to manage to sell there product since that is a good price; moreover there is an issue of visibility. If I want to buy white paint, I will actively seek the cheapest deal, so I readily expect those to sell out first.

I expect asymmetric sales in a range. The the low end should have less evidence, and a great deal of evidence at the high end, in terms of what is visible. All of this evidence fails to account for what polar bear is showing, so I'm going to assume that Vincent's comment from earlier is still applicable.

I believe that, 5-7 days ago, there was more 2 Key trades because of the desire of Robo-Crates/Robo-Keys, but those trades are long gone, which is evident by just clicking on these trades, and seeing when they were traded. Their hasn't been any recent 2 Key trades, besides one, and I truly don't believe if you can not actively attain 2 Key trades, that they should be a part of the range. I can go deeper into quick-sells, and other topics, but I'm just giving you my insight.

Please note that the current range is for 2-2.4 keys. Posting links within this range doesn't help people decide whether this is more accurate than the current range. If anything, posting tons of proof at 2.2, shows that 2.2 should be middle range instead of low end. Of course sellers are going to sell for the highest possible price. So most sellers would want to sell for 2.4 (which is still in the range).

But I don't like using buyer trades as proof since buyers continually change prices and you can't easily tell how often they are successful in the absence of "added" or if it's immediately in their bp. I would just not use quickbuyers as proof at all.

I already addressed the 2 Key trade(I had to go to trade.tf to see it). It was the only one in the last 2 days. The other one appears to be accepting a Lime + 1 Key even though he was asking for the convenience of a Lime + Pink, which is up for interpretation.

I only included the quick sell buyer trades, who are actually being bumped may I add, to show that many are buying for 2 Keys without notable success. Also, plenty are successful? Re-check your claims.

You also seem to be confused by what I am trying prove with my suggested range. My point is that, recently, there have been nearly no 2 Key trade sellers, and that the majority sell around 2.2 - 2.4 Keys, while 2 Key sells are rare are quickly sold, and 2.6 Keys are slow and rarely sell, and most sell around the 2.2 - 2.4 Key mark.

You have done a key suggestion. Your suggestion was for 5.22-5.44 ref. How many active sellers were there at 5.22 ref? And yet there was still plenty of proof of sellers at 5.22 ref that sold quickly from closed trades over the course of a week.

Paints are high demand items and sell quickly as well for a low end. How many active trades are there for 2 keys? Just the one. How many closed trades in the last week. Now at 22. Plus, there are only 3 pages of white paint sellers on outpost and 20+ pages of key sellers. 22 is a lot. Of course sellers are going to post for 2.2-2.4. But 2 keys is not uncommon.

There was actually a couple of active 5.22 Refined sells, although it had already been in the range for quite a while, so it was no use to include it in my proof. They sold quickly, yes, but they were still active sellers, and could be bought.

As for 22 paints sold at 2 Keys. First off, sells > links. Also, I have posted many more recent links at 2.2-2.4 than 2 Key, and it does not account for sellers who have sold many more than one can in a single trade. Yes, they're are only 3 pages, but they're rarely available at 2 Keys, especially lately. 2 Key trades are very uncommon, very hard to access, and nearly non-existent, especially within the last 3 days, which I believe was probably because people were quick-selling them to gather Robo-Keys and Robo-Crates. How you can justify leaving 2 Keys in when there has only been a couple of them in the last couple of days, and ignore tons easily sold higher is incredible, and how you deny that 2 Keys is not a quick-sell is laughable.

I think the point of this whole suggestion is to say that 2 keys is a quicksell.

I'll just stay out of this whole fight over white now though.

I don't recommend using non-pure trades/offers on this type of item as the owner of the black paint may just value it at low end 2.2

From all the proof and counterproof it's clear that 2 keys flat is not an easy buy, and that most who buy for that do flip it for more without much effort. Previous suggester admits that availability of cans at 2 flat has shrunk, so I don't really have a problem removing it from range
