1 scrap selling is rhetorical, already in current range, and buying for a weapon proves nothing either. Overall proof is bad and more is needed.

It's been one of those comments that keeps irritating me (and obviously several other people if he/she got a score of -17) and literally does not contribute a single thing besides speculation with no proof. That's like if I spammed key suggestions saying that there are less now (which I don't know, so don't get on me for it) and therefore they should be less. It doesn't do a single thing but gunk up the suggestion. "I think" ideas don't really contribute much to anything unless you have proof to back it up.

I'd apologize to him/her for being a dick, but I (obviously) can't anymore. I don't understand what people don't get about "prove it" and speculation with prices. You don't speculate and just expect things to go up (without proof), hence why I said that his/her comment was not meaningful to the suggestion and kindly asked him/her to leave if they didn't have more to contribute besides speculation. It's just getting harder and harder to get through to people to actually tell them that speculation gets them nowhere. So, to ToughLuckNoob, my apologies but speculation won't win people to your side.

Anyways, to get back on topic on suggestion, in my opinion, OP probably should provide some more proof to win some more people over. They seem to be in need of it.

50% of traders see backpack.tf as a trading god who dictates prices that have to be followed without any hassle/discussion/opposition and that 50% has no idea where prices actually come from.

That is why you often see evidenceless suggestions saying ''it's what I think''.

They also think the market will change due to that suggestion instead of backpack.tf just adapting its listed price to what's already the correct price.

Just go on an average trade server you'll understand. It's also why getting keys for under 5.55 on them is easier. Everyone follows this shit blindly!

Oh, I know that, but I don't understand what people don't get about proof. You have to do it in all those essays you've written for school or you even have to do it in every single argument you intend on winning. Just because something /suggests/ a price change does not make it so.

decent suggestion, to the people who say there should be more, i checked and most people are just high balling. this suggestion makes sense. crates at 1 wep are not auto selling

I believe that a weapon sale is a quick still.most of the sales go for1 scrap

People want to make a profit on them so of course they would like to buy these cheap. This can't be proof actually. If any item worths more than a bud, any lowballer can offer or make a trade that he is paying 20 keys for it. This does not makes it's price. I sold many robocrates 12:1, 25:1, 30:1, 15:1 (last trade at june 5). When I consider my price its like 0.66 rec each. It's really high, so this is the price of robocrate? No of course. These are now 0.5-0.11 each. 0.5 sellers have 1 or 2 robocrates in their backpack so they just want to get rid of it instead of deleting it or instead of paying a scrap for a weapon (thats what people sell them for) they prefer to take weapon with paying robocrate for it, instead of 1 scrap.

Not even 1 of the 1 Weapon sellers listed here has a Robocrate for sale. I know since I checked because I wanted to buy 2 Robocrates. Seems like 1 Weapon is a quicksell to me. Sorry, gotta Downvote unless some substantive proof of 1 Weapon sales not being quicksells.

it actually took over a day for them to sell out, i can go find more but if it takes them a day to sell out, it's not really much of a quicksale :(

What do you mean? They all sold within a day if not a few hours. There are none open right now.

I am undecided on this suggestion because after doing a simple search for buyers (for 1 scrap) on Outpost, I see that most of them got adds very recently.

well, i guess i can't say they sold out in over a day but they sold out in around a day. I'm not sure, but my posting these links might have sped that process up since someone seems to have posted comments on each of the trades i listed for 0.5 scrap around the time i posted this suggestion.
