well, let's start with this heavy unusual.
well currently there are 3 of these and i gladly found 3 of them!.
1. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11328895 ( highest C/O= bp of http://www.tf2outpost.com/backpack/297610 )
2. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11462903 ( highest C/O of 1 bud)
3. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11423431 ( highest C/O of 1.5 buds)
you ask, why is the high range 1.7? well the guy's bp was 1.7 buds when i checked it on bp.tf
If you have any complains or counter proof i welcome you to post below :P
The C/O means nothing, unless the hat owner accepts : /
Too early to price, unless you can find out how much the hats were actually bought for in the case of the first two.
And the last one actually has been sold, to this guy: http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/134080
any proof that it was sold, and at what price?
Check the item history. It's the same hat. So either it changed hands, or the hat has been duped real quick.
As for the price, I don't know. It's your suggestion, it's up to you to do the legwork : p
Edit: That said, I was curious, so I tried to do a bit of detective work : p
Truecode's bp ( http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198052770850 ) history tells us that he did not have it on the 5th ( http://puu.sh/3bK7r.jpg ), however had it as of the 7th ( http://puu.sh/3bK89.jpg ).
Goat's bp ( http://backpack.tf/id/76561197988602648?time=1370415600 ) tells us he had it on the 5th ( http://puu.sh/3bKgF.jpg ), but not the 6th ( http://puu.sh/3bKi8.jpg ).
No major items were received in return, so this suggests to me that either the transaction was conducted over paypal (no middleman though, it seems), or he was unfortunately scammed. And while I'm no expert, if I'm correct, I believe that in both cases this trade would be invalid proof. Please correct me if I be wrong.
In my personal opinion though, I think it is plausible the guy is a scammer. He has a very small bp worth a high amount, although if it is a scammer alt, they are careful. Their main account is either not tagged, or is not on the friends list of truecode. One to watch, perhaps.
well i sort of agree with your work which is good because goat's bp instantly like raised up on the 7th which is of course suspicious. And it's either he's a scammer or bought it thru real money. But what i looked for is the C/O in http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11423431 which tells us what people are trying to offer and based on my observations the offer were between 1-1.7 buds
also, i found this: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11601520 which is truecode's trade about selling the pug and it has an offer of a nuts human cannonball..
Again, C/Os mean nothing unless the seller accepts.
What could mean something, however, is that the guy appeared to do a 1:1 with this guy ( http://backpack.tf/id/d_koda ) for a nuts and bolts robo glove. Unfortunately, there is no price set for that : /
Look at recent sales / closed trades. That shows what people will buy for AND what sellers will sell for. C/O's are ok proof, but not what you are looking for.
hold on. has anyone noticed that the currency has changed to 24-41 keys? previously it was 1-1.7 buds
seems weird.
If anyone else is seeing this, and has complains maybe i should submit another one because honestly 24-41 keys is the biggest range for an unusual i have ever seen
