You want proof I will give you proof I SOLD this hat within 2 hrs of me listing it on the market for $347.83 on the steam community market and that's after you take out the fees that valve implies. So this hat is going for 7-8 buds on the market as of the 11th of june. Its not a guess its not a best offer and its not sitting still on outpost It SOLD for that amount and I have the proof to back it up

link to the Bunsen brave market page http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/440/Unusual%20Bunsen%20Brave
And for more proof here is my bp for you to look at the history on the 11th http://backpack.tf/id/76561198066231250
This proof is the most solid thing out there for the Bunsen brave with memory leak.
...you mean someone actually bought that hat for that ridiculous highball?!
^ That is true.
There is no price set for it so its nota high ball.
With that amount of money you can easily buy a god tier heavy hat with a burning effect, and still have heaps of change left over, so yes i would consider that a highball...
Question how is it a high ball when there is no set price on bp.tf explain that to me. Or are you saying its wrong because of what you think it should go for.
here is your proof of no set price http://backpack.tf/unusuals/30054/Bunsen_Brave
I have given proof all the way and you guys have not given me any thing but bitching about a high ball when the amount for this hat has not been set yet
Unusuals normally get their price from their effect, the tier of hat as well as class (popularity).
The amount that guy paid for such a low to mid tier hat is considered a highball (again for that price he can get something alot better) seeing as sunbeams dragonborn is around 7-8 buds (got effect, god hat, and is really popular)
well, money is not the kind of proof we would like to see. Especially Steam Wallet money.
Here is the proof that there is no price http://backpack.tf/unusuals/30054/Bunsen_Brave
So your argument is invalid as there has not been a set price yet.
Im not exactly arguing as someone did buy for that price im just...amazed.
Memory leak is considered probably one of the lowest tier of unusual effect but you do have a mid tier heavy hat. But with the price they paid quite easy to get a burning (god tier effect) with a much higher tier hat too and probably have change left over.
I ended up falling in love with a cloudy moon ushanka and a festive mini gun with robots killed and crit kills and he got a memory leak Bunsen burner I did not want to get a better hat just because it was god tier I got it because I liked it and he got it for the same reason hints what trading is all about
I quite agree on this, but keep in mind that a power surge bunsen brave was sold only for around 4-5 buds and it's effect is alot better than random green squares going around your head.
So i guess you were really lucky xD
Well if this all goes south on this price suggestion and I end up in the negative again on contributions for bp.tf and I cant post a price for a month. I will always come back after I help price other items and provide more proof that just because the effect is low on one hat does not mean its low on a hat it looks good on.
You can vote to acquire points to keep you from the negatives :)
I suggest focusing on suggestions made by users with colored stars xD
Steam Wallet cash is not equivalent to real cash. Keys are 1.70-1.90 in real cash, but 2.30 on Steam Community Market, therefore we can use the real cash value of buds to evaluate your sale on the Steam Community Market.
Previous sale: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10924527
No offers anywhere close to 7 buds, --> Says he will sell for Stormy DragonBorn (~2.0) + Blizz Luchador (~1.7) + Steaming Luchador (~1.1) = About 4.8 buds, I got these prices from the median range of backpack.tf like we are supposed to, not even accounting unusual overpay
--> http://i.imgur.com/acHNoGt.png <-- Link confirming he said that, another way this can be found is opening up the *Previous Sale* link and scrolling in between Loxicrow and ☮ Big ]lVl[ ike ☮
What it ended up selling for...
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11044006 <-- Phosphorus Baker Boy
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51a386564bd7b8757a000013 <-- At the time owner had it/shortly after he sold it, he valued his hat between 2.9-3.8 buds. You can observe this by his suggested the price here and confirmed it sold for a Memory Leak Bunsen Burner on his Phosphorus Baker Boy suggestion, a.k.a. The Baker Boy's owner, overpayed a crap load he just valued his hat lower at the time.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11277343 <-- Had a B/O of 5 buds, you can argue that "Oh He is buying a pair of hats for him and his girlfriend." No he is selling the hat for 5 buds (B/O).
^That sold for a pair of slugs, and the owner now has a B/O of 7 buds http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11688840 and is recieving no offers near that, and the 5 bud offer is most likely fake and does not count due to the fact the offerer does not have any buds...
Well you wanted proof and now you have it this hat sold for $347.83 which is around 7-8 buds so you have 2 trades that 1 that sold hat for hat and the second that sold for a brain slug and the guy that owns the Bunsen now is selling it for the price that I "SOLD" it at all I see is the guy who wanted the slug got what he wanted and the guy that got the Bunsen is selling it for what it has sold for on the 11th which I remind you it sold within 2 hrs when I posted it on the market.
Steam wallet money or paypal? Also that one sale could have been an outlier considering numerous have had B/O of 5
Furthermore, that screen shot kind of shows the outrageous prices of market considering you bought or sold a strange festive minigun for 63 dollars when at most it sells for a bud which costs 40$
also this price suggestion is abut the Bunsen not the mini gun
steam community market
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11577450 he has a B/O of 5 Buds
Ok here is the thing that's a b/o that's what he wants. Now here is a fact I SOLD that's right SOLD the hat with out even making an add or asking what I want or trying to pitch the hat to make it sound good. I threw it out on the market priced at $400 which after fees gets me $347.83 and it SOLD in less than 2 hrs. You guys are showing me proof from tf2outpost that is older than my proof yet my proof sold faster than your proof. I think the word Sold would over rule b/o as you guys have shown it does when raising the key prices or lowering the ref prices. At this point after I have failed once but come back with the most solid evidence I could bring you still go off but here is his b/o. If I remember right bp.tf is run off facts and trades that have gone through not. "But here is his b/o or but dis effect is low or you high balled that hat." When for the 15th god damn time that I stated the hat is un priced.
Well, you just got lucky getting this much. The price should still be set lower, as others dont get this much for this hat. your one Sale doesnt represent the entire market.
Its not being lucky that sold the hat it was the demand of the consumer that sold it as people are starting to use the community market more than outpost when it comes to selling unusual hats.
Other then keys, because keys will always have to be lower on market then in the store if they want to sell the keys... community market is pretty inflated when it comes to stuff over a bud. An example of this is you buying that strange festive minigun for 63 dollars, this is just an example so don't be like omg this isn't a suggestion for that, no market is inflated that is a 1 bud item (at the most) and buds cost 40$ via paypal....
Furthermore, you can't just use paypal pricing for your hat because you are not using paypal. Keys costs $1.85 via paypal and keys cost an average of $2.27 on market, there is a large difference and when you multiply that difference to a scale like this, you just can't do that. If you are going to use market pricing you have to do it like this, keys cost and average of $2.27 on market, $2.27 X 25 (Buds go for around 25) which gives you a total of $56.75 for a bud on market, sounds pretty outrageous we know that is because it is market. So 56.75 X 6.5 = $368.88, your hat sold for the price of 347.83 so around 6.1-6.2 your hat ended up selling for.
Also an electrostatic one is priced at about 5 buds, im not going to be that guy but electrostatic looks a lot better and people like electrostatic a lot more the memory leak. If you used the evidence I provided before and your link and my reasoning above, and did a little more research of your own, if you figure out a logical range and submit it it would be a lot more accurate and most likely get passed.
