Genuines seem to have both a small market and an even smaller demand.

Selling for less than 5 keys:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11901522 - 4 keys, 4 refined (~4.8 keys)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11830545 - 4.9 keys

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11444957 - Looking for 5 keys, but will give back 2 refined, so approx. 4.65 keys. (treating as outlier, as it looks weird.)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11860444 - 1:1 with a cheaper strange (g. launcher)

On the buyer side:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/9606856 - One recent add for 4 keys

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10789059 - Another recent add for 4.5 keys

Buyers having luck at these prices tells me that the Sharp Dresser isn't having too much luck with sellers at higher prices.

And the trades to consider as unsold (let's see if they sell):

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11419139 - Unsold for a great amount of time for 5 keys.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11877880 - 5 keys

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11707075 - 5 keys w/ autobump

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11739870 - 5 keys

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11899460 - 5 keys

Let's face it, if this were selling quickly enough at 5 keys, then this wouldn't be happening: http://i.imgur.com/2ZNvYrX.png (screencapp'd 6/20/2013)

There's a few trades for less than 5 keys, and the bulk of them 5 keys. Some of them unsold for a week.

I chose to keep 5 keys in the range for the sake of safety, and if more people start selling at lower than 5 keys, then it can be removed from the range.

Only four links below current range, plus two quickbuyers.

Sellers are a mix of new and old trades, and half don't have autobumps. Gonna need to see more evidence for such a popular item.

Proof is terrible. What you need to realize that these won't sell in a day or two, and we the sellers don't care.

Show me a bunch of sellers who will do less. One person seems to get a lot of adds, which means his price sells too quick.

I understand that you don't care how fast your Sharp Dresser sells. You should feel free to sell it for 6 keys, 5 keys, or for 4 keys. But this website is not about what you feel the price should be, it's to accurately represent the prices in the market. If it consoles you, 5 keys is still in the range because I have not found the reason to take it out, even if it sells slowly. If the majority of the trades are for a lesser price, then the price is adjusted to show that the market has shifted.

The truth is that 5 keys sells too slowly. I just rechecked all my links. You can *still* technically buy it at 4.9 keys, the 4.8 is gone (after dropping his price to 4 keys and 3 refined, ~4.65 keys, mind you) and every single other 5 key is still unpurchased (except the second link under the second comment, that one was sold w/ a Dashin' Hashashin for a white Bills, which is *just* barely okay) or closed without any transaction done, still in their backpacks.

The lower prices that sell too quickly fall underneath the 4 keys, 4 refined region. I have determined that right now, that is the "quicksell" region, which is not in the range of this suggestion.

And here, have some more sellers that were "willing to do less"

^ and all sold within how many hours?

What's defined as too slow? If an unusual doesn't sell in 3 days, is that too slow?

I'm just stating my point that not every item should be subjected to the same time limit.

Not every seller wants to wait one week until their Sharp Dresser sells. The point of the trading economy is that your items (weapon, hats, misc) can be easily converted into commodity money (in this case, keys and metal). And some people want to put up a trade to get their commodity money for the acquisition of a different thing. And you can't possibly expect them to wait an entire week or more. Sometimes, people just really need the keys. Which is why this suggestion exists: to reflect the state of the market, and provide a price range in which people can expect their item will sell for commodity money in a reasonable amount of time.

I've seen them being tried to be sold at 7 keys and not get selling, but I thinks it should be worth Round 4 keys cause they rarly sell at 4.5 keys, I hav eno proof but searching t on tf2 outpost

I bought my one with 4 key + 3 ref. It's not that hard to find someone sell cheaper than 5 Key, upvote.

        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11888218 - bought one for 4 keys

        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11707075 - interested buyer for 5 keys

        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11861622 - v.luger + 2 keys - 2 ref for both

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11825108 - maybe bought one at 4 keys?

The 4 key ones are definite quicksells. 5 keys is still possible though. Classifieds has two currently for 4.9 keys and unsold for 3 days. It seems some sold on the market, for $11-12 (which translates into 5 keys)... so I'm not sure about the low end of the price.

4 keys is not my low end. It's roughly 4 keys, 4 ref, and a bit of more metal because keys aren't 5 refined anymore, which is a lot more than 4 keys. And the V. Luger + 2 keys - 2 refined is a bit less than 10 keys, maybe like 9.6 keys. Seeing that the Dashin' is between 4.75-5 keys, it would translate in a bit of a loss. That interested buyer is really suspicious, though. You would think he'd get frustrated after a few days and buy the Sharp Dresser from another 5 key seller, but alas, he has yet to discover the back button in his browser.

If you think 5 keys is still possible, then you shouldn't fret over this suggestion-- I'm not removing 5 keys from the range. What I am doing is providing a low range to show that 5 keys is a slow, high price, and 4.8 is a more standard price, since buyers actively seek prices less than 5 keys.

          Looks good,upvote!

Upvoting, it's definitely impossible to sell this for 5 keys.

Thank you for being supportive, since I put your trade up there to help me with my suggestion.

I dont see why poeple complain about lack of evidence. As there is not many that is for sale, Patrick uses a big chunk of the whole market for this item in this suggestion. To sell this for 5 keys is still possible, but very hard. And seing how low some people sell this item, I must say that I'm kind of sceptical to the low end of the range. (Should be lower.) Upvote, as this is still progress towards a more realistic price for this item.

EDIT: Very hard=Very, VERY hard and is best done in a trade server.

Exactly, which is why I say to people that 5 keys is still in range. It has been shown that people are looking for prices lower than 5 keys, and all I could prove was 4.8 keys as the lower price, but if people are selling it for even lower, that's their business. I'd say they are desperate people.

It was extremely hard to sell mine at market price - upvote
