The last suggestion brought up some good points, and now I think it's time for me to try my hand at it. First off: Yeah, I can be called biased, I have one. But I'm going to try to be objective here.
EDIT: In order to do this, I excluded my trades from my decision/analysis.
So: Here are the market trades, I'll list B/O's beside them.
(bp.tf classifieds)
19 keys
Outpost (http://www.tf2outpost.com/search/123435939)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11616406 19 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11568457 26 keys ~ C/O: 1 bud if he adds some (rejected) (Steaming Beret, rejected)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11850150 24 keys (none, trade's up for 4 hrs.)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10432855 $45 USD (added at 45, no proof of sale)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/10816357 none listed (got an add to discuss, no proof of sale)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11779489 none listed, C/O of colour changing shades + sweets)
These B/O's averaged together gives none other than 22.6, but I'll round that up for good measure. So that means that the hopeful look for 23 keys worth. I'm sure that's possible, as I received an offer on mine for 16 + sf grenade, or about 26 keys. I assume that's an outlier though, so I'm cutting that one out.
I believe the low end of the spectrum on the current price range is correct, with the B/O's of 19 out there, 17 can be expected.
But as the trades above suggest, as well as my personal experience, that offers above 20 are possible, and I see them reaching 23 reasonably.Scratch that, C/O's range from 16 keys (quicksale imo) to 1 bud, which at the time was 24 keys)This is just my opinion after searching for a decent deal for the last week and coming up with my best price anyone would sell at at 20 keys.
Let me know what you think, this is my first unusual price suggestion, and unfortunately, evidence isn't abundant for this hat.
I'm not really seeing the proof. Unusual prices are based on either sales or offers (especially c/os) B/O's really don't mean anything when it comes to unusual prices unless you're lowering the price.
ok, I'll dredge up some C/Os
good good, comment on my post when its done and I'll vote on it :)
done. They range from 16-24 keys
a bit better, but more offers would help :/
I wish I could give them to you, but the offers and trades are scarce. only 4 on the market, there are double and triple trades up for some though. And as mentioned, my personal offers range from 14 keys (quicksale guy) up to 26 keys (16 + sf grenade) but I excluded them
seems like the offers are going from 20 (my own) to 24 keys (buds at the time). And that was rejected. So it seems the offers match, even exceed my range.
well post em.
posted already. not seeing them?
You can't use buyouts as prof. You must take actual offers.
taken care of, they range from 16-24 keys
L1: Does nothing but disprove your range.
L2: The offer was an Earbud IF the seller added. The C/O is not a Bud, it is less. Please don't lie to us.
L3: Useless so why put it there?
L4: No proof of sales so, once again, useless.
L5: Another useless link.
L6: Colour changing shades + sweets is not 23 keys. Not even close.
You have no proof, nothing that holds water. The only offer that is really shown is the Earbud but the seller was asked to add.
Easy downvote.
1) a B/O of 19 suggests that he aims to sell for 2-3 keys less. Aka, 16-17 keys. How does this disprove?
2) sorry, I misread it. you're right, I'll edit that.
6) never said 23 keys?
I don't see how those are useless? I can understand how the ones with out offers are, and and mistaken offer, but ones with solid offers?
1) Because it shows people are very willing to take less than your stated buyout.
6) Otherwise, where are you getting your range from? The only other offer is an Earbud if the seller adds. So, by deduction, I deduced that, seeing as it was the only other offer, that you priced it as such.
Either way, buyouts are useless. They prove jack. If I set my Crate 55 up for 20 buds as a buyout it does not make Crate 55s 20 buds. You need trades with solid offers, not buyouts, and completed trades that show how much said hat was sold for. That is why almost all of your "proof" is useless.
Thanks for the first part (I was the last suggestion)
yeah, I agree with you that at least the high end needs to be raised a bit.
your link 1 has a b/o fo 19 keys and unsold.
I think the current price is better than the suggested price.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11753392 - sold for 20 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11951612 - BO 22 keys, probably sold for that price
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11928016 - sold for steaming pith helm (15-17 keys) + 2 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11648061 - you bought it for 20 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11603969 - sold for 16 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11568263 - BO was 20 keys, unknown sale price
Based on previous sales, suggested price is a bit too high
