The only comparative offer is a Flaming Lantern Soldier's Stash (5.4-5.9 buds) plus a Sunbeams Rather Festive Tree (4.7-4.9 buds) plus 2 buds, at a low range of 12.1 buds. It is hidden, along with most of the offers under 12 buds. He pointedly notes that 11 buds pure is too low.

A confirmed sale of a Burning Flames Chieftain's Challenge (7.3-8.1 buds) plus 5 buds pure, around 12.6 buds. Once again, all offers under 12 are ignored.

The Burning Cheiftans sale is about 12 buds and the sale of the Team Captain is about 11.8 buds.
No it is not, Zelda. You NEVER price an unusual below it's low price, because it establishes a base price for the unusual. Whilst you disregard the high end for an unusual 1:1 trade or with unusual and pure offers, the low and medium range for the unusual is an acceptable range. Since you have never done an unusual suggestion, you would not know this.
I just took the average and multipied by .9. Taking the low end of the things, thats still 12.2 for the TC and 12.3 for the Chieftans, making your range incorrect. And theres no need to be rude.
You did not pay attention... I said low to MEDIUM range for an unusual is acceptable. Medium price for the Burning Flames Chieftain's Challenge is 7.6. Medium range for the Orbiting Fire Team Captain is 7.5.
You can't just take the medium range for an unusual. You have to factor in overpay for unusuals.

I do. You must take unusual overpay. Thats how it works. I'm not going to argue with you anymore though. Its just a waste of both of our time. If this gets accepted, it gets accepted.
He's right. you need overpay for trades including non pure items, for one simple reason: Prices are displayed as buds on this site, and unusuals aren't buds.
Alright, I explained it on the competing suggestion and will explain it again here. There are two standardized ways to calculate overpay. No one is "correct" and it often depends on the situation. Either way:
Burning Chief = 7.5-8.5 - http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51a53e21ba2536d542000004
Burning Chief + 5 pure = 12.2-12.5 after overpay (0.9*8 + 5) or (7.5+5)
OF TC = 8-9 - http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5168be20ba25364268000008
OF TC + 5 pure = 12.6-13 after overpay (0.9*8.5 + 5) or (8+5)
Notice, I did not simply go to the bp.tf values. Those values are all artificially deflated from currency changes described in the forums extensively. Taking current values and adding overpay SEVERELY undervalues hats.
Two sales of the duped hat at 12.2-13 depending on how you calculate overpay. Honestly, his range is close enough. These are both duped hats selling for 12+. Needs a raise, if anything. And you will never be completely accurate on unusual suggestions. These ranges are meant to be guidelines.
This is the problem of pricing unusuals based on other unusuals when all unusuals on this website are off due to buds-USD discrepancy discussed in the forums.
