lack of links because of numerous trades selling for refined or only offers (which there are none)
no one is selling for a scrap anymore, and no one (technically) is buying for a scrap.
will this work at all?
your link 1 is unsold at 2 scrap.
proof of sales?

If this could be helpful, I sold mine for 1 rec.
that's out of range :/
I know, but for some reason I thought it might be helpful for the suggestion. I mean, he's rising the price of the crate, maybe 1 rec proof could be useful. Or maybe I'm just an outlier. The fun fact is that a guy bought all of them crates, while he was playing the game.
Do some people still have this?
Yes. They do.
Your second link is kind of counterproof... his prices become cheaper the more one buys, and 4 for 1 rec + 1 scrap means 1 scrap each.
this website prices items individually though, correct? bulk discounts shouldn't affect prices at all
Technically you could say that but when you see that his trade has been up for 7 months and has been at those prices for atleast a month http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:R1rDJDKBbakJ:www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6149523+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a
You can tell that these crates are not really moving at any price. Not enough significant proof showing 1 scrap is impossible.
I think current price is fine
