- 4 sellers at 5 refs
- 4 sellers at 5.33 refs
- plenty at a key
Dont know why it suddenly jumped in price, i went through every seller on outpost and this is what i found. 5.33 sellers were mostly bought from a lower end price, and generally are unsold plenty at 5 refs and some at 4.66.
Any thoughts/critz/advice on suggested price is welcome.
Please do not take my proof without asking (has been done like 3 times this week already :L)
this thing is rising 2fast 2quick
This thing is a pain to price :L
Suddenly shot up so you have sellers (old price) getting snapped up in the hopes of reselling (have ignored the ones i found) and 5.33 refs seems to be unsold atm, below 4.66 refs it's insta buy probably to resell tho
Thing is bp.tf is outdated for ages.
1 month ago they were selling for 1 key already. Others were underselling because bp.tf has put a low price on it. I profited a lot with this strange
If bp.tf is out of date why didnt you update it :P
And i think maybe not as a few selling at like 4 refs a few days ago were unsold for ages on end? and 2 weeks aho you would be lucky to sell this for 3.66 refs lol
Why would I update it when I profit from it?
because you might put the loss of 100's of others over your own profit. You mislead people by not updating the price, whilst knowing it was wrong, just to gain personal profit. I find this pretty bad.
well said you deserve my clap
Ok few things
1. I didn't want to, lazy and would cause a lot of loss for me.
2. It's hard to update from 3 ref to 1 key. Because some people were still selling for 3 ref (although they sold fast). People here hate it when you bring the price up. I will get all kind of comments "your the only seller for 1 key, need more proof, people sell for 3 ref etc"
Also people shouldn't follow exactly what bp.tf says. Most of those people I hate because they spam my trade when I buy / sell outside the range of bp.tf
Hard to update from 3 ref to a key?
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51cc61064bd7b82c04000014
Some day i hope people like you fall into your own trap :P
@ btf117 yea because unusuals and regular stranges are totally on the same level
@ ♠Derpeh♤ #Finals Actually you are being hypocrite here too. Another suggestion of 1 key was created and shows 1 key is possible, yet you make a counter suggestion at a lower price
Well if you looked at the suggestion it isnt enough proof, but this has been up for a while might look into it again (ie might need to update), And it is still quite possible to buy for under 1 key
and most of my unsolds at 5.33 refs still stand, dont see how 1 key should be in the range when 5.33 refs are unsold, and most of my 1 key trades are still kinda unsold too.
Some more sellers under 5 refs
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12160120 (4.33 refs)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12157914 (4.66 refs)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12170040 (4 refs)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12182795 (4.33 refs)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12182544 (4.33 refs)
And so why would people pay 1 key?
Well I have told you already that 1 key is possible and that people who sell below are underselling because bp.tf has listed it so.
There are some 5 ref sellers who are going slowly and classifieds has plenty of sellers at 1 key even some 5.33 aren't sold fast why should the price be 1 key flat =-=
And again if you had actually looked at the suggestion you would find that the proof is poor, from a few pages of sellers he posts only 2 valid links to try make it 1 key flat while others are selling less, we can't "drag up" the price to 1 key flat (making people pay more) when there are others willing sellers for less.
Fair enough really, it's a fuss to get a price changed, and if you're making good earnings from it.
what was that a reference to? I remember hearing it on youtube but forgot. hmmm
star lol :P
was that from his most recent vid?
latest vid, yep

Good to know you rip people off
Instead of complaining about bp.tf and getting annoyed maybe contribute a bit to the community and update the price instead of taking advantage of other traders.
Making a profit is ripping people off now?
Using puddingkip's words
"because you might put the loss of 100's of others over your own profit. You mislead people by not updating the price, whilst knowing it was wrong, just to gain personal profit. I find this pretty bad."
So in business you must let everyone else have a fair slice of pie because otherwise... it's wrong? Maybe if we're in the playground and billy wants to have some of my sandwich bites I'll share. In a business setting using market trends to an advantage and not informing others is not wrong. It's how business is. If you want to let other people walk over you, go right ahead and suggest a new price so you have a harder time making profit yourself.
Im amazed a how you think tf2 is a business, a weeks work in real life would provide you with more profit both money and skill wise than you will ever get from tf2 in a few weeks. So technically you're already in a losing "business" :L
So if you would like to get technical i will :)
So then why bother suggesting prices if you don't like to play or trade in this "business"? You're just wasting your time when real life would provide you with more profit both money and skill wise than you will ever get from tf2 in a few weeks. So technically, you're also in a losing "business" :L
Here I think you need this derp http://www.globalsurvivalnetwork.com/files/3750066/uploaded/100%20Portable%20Burn%20Cream%20Packets%20with%20Aloe%20Vera.jpg
Lol its either play games and kill time or listen to this boring lecturer who fails epically at teaching med :L
Quite different from someone who treats it as a business and spends to much effort to make a couple of cents
"The current price like this you'll get peeps buying low and selling high."
But, I thought to succeed in the market you need to buy low and sell high. So, you want to change that statement to buying high and selling even higher. Okay.
I agree to this but the current range is 3.66 - 5.33 ._. regardless that is too wide of a gap is it not?
And it's quite obvious from Resi and Ruffryders that they knew that the current price (the 3.66 refs one) was quite outdated but instead of updating decided to make profit.
Which is better, an accurate range or a range that nobody is buying and selling? If you search the markets, like tf2op or bazaar (although I prefer tf2tp because they show recent trades that were sucessful), it doesn't take very long to find a deal under your suggested range. And now I'm going to search the markets for a strange rs now because the price is shooting up.(even though the price was crazy since it came out)
I went though every seller trade on outpost and could not find one under 4.66 refs. Quite obvious why as i have stated above.
The current weird range is no longer accurate as everyone know it suddenly shot from 3.66 to 5.33 refs, so everyone jumped aboard to make profit
Try looking on other markets. Tf2tp is kinda hard to use in my opinion, and they also show trades that were completed recently. It's great for proof in my opinion, and as for not finding a single trade under 5 ref on outpost, well it's outpost and outpost has the most people, so there would be the most buyers and sellers.
Lol actually at that time when searching for proofs i couldnt find many but there are still some that sell for around 4.33 but they get taken quite quickly :( (have provided some links to the guy below me who said it was impossible to find for under 5 refs)
But yeah I tend to mainly use trade.tf and outpost mainly, and tf2tp however not much of the latter :S
it is almost impossible to buy below 5 refined on outpost
Please look a little furthur I only went through 2 pages of trades and found these:
MORE SELLERS UNDER 5 REFS
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12160120 (4.33 refs)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12157914 (4.66 refs)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12182795 (4.33 refs)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12182544 (4.33 refs
Dont see how under 5 refs is "impossible" :P
Sold sold and sold
So finding sellers under 5 refs is "impossible" huh? so impossible that the price should be 1 key flat?
Some more
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12200811 (4.66 refs)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12195997 (4.33 refs)
Find these sellers below took me 2 mins, so why should the price be 1 key flat?Would you buy something for more when it's relatively easy to find one below heck even in classifieds there are quite a bit of sellers at 5 refs flat.
Like I said people are underselling theirs while they could have gotten 1 key out of it. But you dont seem to care about that
sigh
http://backpack.tf/classifieds/search/415/11/0
There are plenty of unsolds at 1 key in just classifieds alone, if it was so easy to sell at 1 key then why are there still people selling at 5 refs who are going slowly let alone 5.33 and 1 key :P
Again, you can't "drag up' the price and make others pay more when there are others selling for less
http://imgur.com/S8YRqoU
Sold 2 for 1 key each yesterday
A bunch of your unsolds at 5.33 have sold.
Only 2 of my unsolds have sold (one took 2 days the other 3 days) others have been closed and or relisted, some of my 5 ref sellers still stand and there are more selling at 5 refs as well.
And it's still perfectly easy to find one under 5 refs:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12200811 (4.66 refs)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12120894 (5 refs) <-- unsold after 2 days
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12160120 (4.33 refs)
classifieds
http://backpack.tf/classifieds/search/415/11/0
still a few sellers at 5 refs and a couple under 5 refs, a few unsolds at 5.33 refs
I dont see why 5.33 refs should be included (correct me if im wrong) if it is relatively easy to find for 5 refs and some even lower.
I would like the mods to look carefully at the discussion in this suggestion: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51c92bf3ba2536fc40000007
This has already been discussed. People are so opposed to wide ranges but the reality is that there are more sales of this at either end than anything in the middle.
I sell mine within hours for a key:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12066066
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11935205
And I don't have a buyers trade up. I bought one from a seller at 3 ref and one for 3.33 ref. And those weren't even sold instantly. It took the 3 ref guy one bump.
Some more data:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11701719 - 1 key
http://imgur.com/c1kSNJX - another guy like Resi who buys and sells loads from 3.66-->1 key
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12050485 - buyer for a key
Combine these with Resi's proof and it's just so easy to sell for a key.
Now, take a look at Creeper's counterproof (in addition to the ones I, Resi, and the other guy have bought for ~3.33-3.66 ref)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11955983 - 4 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11956336 - 4 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11880880 - 4 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12003108 - 3.55 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12013710 - 3.33 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12014413 - 4 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12025361 - 3.66 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12028816 - 3.66 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12026035 - BP.tf price
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12008635 - 3.66 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12005600 - 3 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12005441 - 3.66 ref
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11994035 - 3.66 ref
The fact of the matter is that more are selling at either end than in the middle. A wide range is completely justified and is more accurate at this time.
However it was "selling" at those prices only because bp.tf had a outdated price, (read ruff ryder's comment above) Some people were aware of this and decided to profit instead. So you had users that use bp.tf selling at 3.66 whilst 5 refs were already happening.
But a key must be in the range, regardless of how you feel about 4 ref and under as a quicksell.
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51ba08e34bd7b85468000004
I tried
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12123960 this trade happened a day ago. He sold for 2 ref. I have no idea what was on his mind.
Lol wow O_O
If you look at all his past trades it's been always way under priced lol
Good proof, gets my upvote.
Range is wide and out of control Admin needs to get price set Soon, How would you like to hear a friend of yours paid a key ?
Yeah starting to get slightly annoyed, think with whacked prices like these a decision should be made soon or else you'll get people getting ripped. I dont get how people are saying that 5.33 refs should be included when it's so easy to find one for 5 refs and a bit harder for ones below
Prices aren't based on subjective opinions such as "people are getting ripped" and "there are many available for under 5 ref". Prices are based on what these are actually bought and sold at. The simple fact of the matter is that loads are selling for 1 key. I agree that 3.66 ref should now be removed from the range. But a range of ~4.33-5.44 would be more accurate at this time.
Please, suggest it, then?
Alright, will gather some evidence. Gimme 10 min
Ill close mine now as yours is probably more accurate, as well as how mine has been open for 2 days and proof probs is outdated.
Feel free to use my proofs if you wish :)
Done. Was going to do 4.33-5.33. But couldn't since the website counts that as the same as 4.66-5. Just made 5.44 since that's what one key is worth now anyways, as ugly as the range is
