While i do know that most of my links are indeed sold in less than 1-2 days period, i donk think that selling bill's for low is "quickselling" it . They appear daily that people are willing to sell for less than 8 or even less than 7 keys 4 refined.

For clarification, 7.55 = 7 keys 3 ref, how ? 3/5.50=.55 (5.50 = key median price)

~~7.55=7 keys 3 ref but will place the suggestion as 7.6 which is 7 keys 3.33 for simplation~~ 7.55 keys it is.

I looked carefully at all trades for bill’s in the last 3 weeks AND the time it takes to sell them. I considered making the suggestion yesterday, but couldn’t decide if it was the right time.

The real question is how we consider bill’s as a currency. If bill’s are truly considered currency, 1 hour to sale should not be considered a quicksell (7.6 key sales are taking that long) and 8 key sales flat for 2 days is just too long. If we consider bill’s as any item, the range is appropriate as is since 1-2 days to sell isn’t that long.

7.55 is 7+3 ref. Yeah, it is kinda weird, and I kind of like 7.6 keys, but KMD is correct in that 7.55 is more accurate than 7.6

I'm sorry that is the most idiotic method of deciding a hats price. Just because you don't like the way it looks doesn't mean that it deserves to have a lower price, actions like this have consequences that may last for a long period of time. And this is why I simply don't consider Bills Hat currency anymore. True currency should be easily convertible into it's equivalent. With so many unsold Bills on the market, either keys have gotten too high for people to pay 8 keys for it or this listed value has to drop. Else everyone continues trying to sell for 8 keys and ignores the fact nobody buys it.

Its because many people havnt accepted that bills are dropping, buds dropped when keys went high some reason bills have stayed at 8 when it should have dropped to balance out (in terms of irl money)

But the price of keys in irl money hasn't changed.

They went up to 1.8$ (from ~1.45) on grey market, not sure about steam market though, but I guess there too.

Price of keys on Steam market has been around £1.45 for a very long time, and is going down ever so slightly.

I never use the steam market, they are much cheaper though paypal.^^ But yeah they were going down on the market since the robo keys came out. And the new keys again doesn't help them too.

There are 4 pages of unsold bills @ 8 keys on classified alone. It is time now to remove 8 keys from the game, unless I am missing any 8 keys vanilla sales.

as a currency, bill's might take a bit of time to sell for 8 keys unpainted. Also you can easily find high tier painted bill's for 8, but i don't think anybody is ready yet for bill's without 8 in-range, it will happen tho

As far as high tier paints are concerned this website have a pretty discrete rule regarding prices of painted articles. The prices on backpack.tf are based on vanilla versions and not customized versions.

And at the very least this website is there to report market conditions and not to please its users. If it was for that purpose then keys would have never gone above 2.66 ref.

but still, if they offered you a sniper rifle with headshots part for 1 ref or a normal rifle for 1 ref, which one will you buy? If someone offered you a white Bill's for 8 or unpainted for 8, which will you buy ? The white of course as it is more "fancy" ,, painted for 8 just shows that plain bill's is nearly impossible to sell for 8 keys flat

That is exactly why I am questioning the 8 key range. Any thing that comes with perks @ nearly same price is desirable but the price on this website is always set for standard items and again not fancy ones.

And let me make it clear I am not against the 7.55, in my opinion it should be lower then that. Till date, in about 6 months, I have bought around 200-300 bills hats all under 8 keys ( painted + unpainted alike).

In the last suggestion my trades were used as proof to bring down the price of bills and I used to buy @ 7.35 and sell at 7.75. Now I buy @ 7 and sell at 7.5. The volume of bills I deal in has not changed at all.

The first block is a bit older and I used as counterproof on a previous suggestion. And fixed the second block.

Can't hold burden of proof to "added for 8 keys" since few people comment that on trades. If it wasn't sold to a quickseller, the guy doesn't accept lower offers, and the guy doesn't repost a later trade, we have to assume it sold for the price he was asking for. That's how we make suggestions, otherwise it would be impossible. If we were looking for your standard of proof, no suggestion could ever be made on this website

I would really doubt them. With so many sellers constantly popping up less then 8 keys - a sensible person paying flat 8 keys does not make any sense to me, unless the buyer is 1. An idiot. 2. Super-duper rich. 3. Noob.

Rogue: you forget its not just noobs and rich guys. People somtimes buy higher because a) its more affirmable to their currency, and they dont want to break currency for change--eg i have 8 keys, Im not gonna sell one key for 5.55 ref, just to do a deal. And b) they dont want to wade through a bunch of trades for a better deal. They pay for convenience sometimes. Its a simple economic principle, that says some consumers value expediancy and are willing to pay more to spend less time trading...although these people may be rare.

@ stephen: so you are saying that if you saw a trade where a guy was selling his bills for 7 keys + 4 ref and another trade where a guy was selling his bill's for 8 keys, you would opt for the 8 keys trade? just because you have 8 keys and no refined metal?

Mate, If I remember you correctly, then you made heaps re-selling strange grenade launchers. I cannot imagine you opting for the latter trade in this instance.

8 Keys is still an easy sale, I've sold 2 in the last week by only having them up for a day each.

Because they aren't a regular Bill's, if you can't use clean versions, don't make the suggestions. Have you ever seen a hat suggestion that uses painted hats? That's right, no.

What do you mean "they can't be used"?

I'm pretty sure it's because paints tend to be an obstruction to the value of the base value of an item, and pricings based upon paint vary upon the seller and such. Might be wrong, though.

this site prices unpainted and unmodified items mainly, in my opinion, painted items can be used as proof ONLY when selling lower than market price. Like here, some 7+3 are painted but less than market price, so i included them and posted "painted", i didn't calculate the price of the paint or anything like that, only because it is lower than market price i placed it there. But using painted items at current range or higher will not be counted as proof

now i hate to be johnny raincloud here but in a trade for a hat thats worth 8 keys isn't it a bit non-essential to go about quibbling over a few ref?
