As a rule on this site, we calculate overpay when unusuals are used to pay for an item, whether the recipient wanted it or not. I believe that overpay is classed as .9 multiplied by the mean of the range (if it exists) or the bottom end of the range (if it exists). You choose which method you want, but it must be calculated.
