The robo canteen isn't craftable, I've tried crafting it, which is why I'm selling mine for a ref.

You're right, it's not a craft hat, but so far every other robo item seems to have been classified as one - on backpack, at least. No other robohat is priced at under 1.33, and although you're technically correct I'm not sure how the mods would react...

I had someone sell one to me for 2 rec a month ago.

A lot of your links are new, but it's clear that people are willing to sell this for less. Good first suggestion, although in the future including buyer trades and sold trades can be helpful to get a clearer picture of prices (you can use trade.tf to search closed trades).

And FYI everyone; OP is correct that the canteen is an action item not a hat/misc, and it cannot be used to rebuild headgear.
