Where does 6 key high end come from?
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11713604 unsold at 5.5 keys for more than 1 month (highest offer 5 keys 2 ref 3 weeks ago)
EDIT: Proof of successful sales at 6 keys below in Christley's comment. Upvoting.
He's lowering the price...
Not lowering enough. I see no proof of any of these being sold for 6 keys. In fact, judging by this proof, none have been sold even at 5.5 keys.
It's called 'conservative', which many people here seem to have trouble understanding.
It's called a wrong range based on weak/no proof.
mate, check all my other suggestion, we do something called "conservative bump" in which we just lower the price while keeping the high end because it is already in the price, so, we just place people selling for less than market price (lower than 6 keys in this case) which makes my suggestion 5-6 as there are sellers for 5 while keeping 6 in range
Idc what you call it, if you cannot show recent successful sales at 6 keys or even at 5.5 keys, then these values should not be in the range.
It is exremely easy to miss sales on more common items like these. They aren't unusuals, which move slower and tend to leave a trackable trail. There is absolutely nothing wrong with making the assumption that one has simply failed to find the sales and recognizing that, while there's enough available for lower to suggest a drop, they are not the entire market. Conservative drops like this tend to be far more accurate than the ones that make the arrogant assumption that the small handful of sales they've found is in fact each and every recent sale of that item.
There is nothing arrogant about taking 2 minutes to actually find some finished sales. "Conservative drops" are often, and this suggestion is no exception, just an excuse to be lazy and ignorant. Representing most of the market is always possible and always better than making some careless, ungrounded assumptions.
it is not being arrogant for me not to find 6 key sales, time is valuable right ? as a normal human i have other things to do in my life, i had some spare time, found an item is outdatted and lowered the price, i had other things to do so i simply placed sellers for less than 6 keys to save you,me,mod and everyones time
Essentially you just created a half-suggestion, leaving the other half of the research for the community to finish. While perhaps this saved your time, it wasted everyone else's who were involved here.
Well, if you're so high and mighty and don't agree with the price, then find counterproof sales. Just complaining that it's not right without providing proof is meaningless conjecture.
You should probably read the whole discussion before cluelessly jumping in.
That comment on your previous suggestion probably thought you were raising the price.
yep, but more 5 sellers popped up, so 5 should be in range
Not too many proofs, but all of they are un sold.
they are selling lower than market price, doesn't matter if sold or not
Yes I know, I'm agreeing with you.
id agree with rik. if you even have unsolds that have been up for quite some time and no solds for 6 keys, then a better bump would be 5-5.5. conservative sure, but in this case it doesnt even seem that its needed
edit: nevermind, but you want tutorials on how people should do on this site, let me help you with a tutorial. find sold ones. i searched for 2 minutes and found this:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11792940 sold 6 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11927547 sold 6 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11704788 sold 5 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12332997 sold 6 keys
i can create a tutorial just for you on how to search for sold ones
Well, it's his job to provide proof, not ours. The links are good, I can upvote now.
are solds for 6 really that important ? I am just proving a point that selling for less than 6 is possible
yeah, 6 keys are important to show that it should still be in the range
