Anyway, those links can't be used as counter-proof, it's like I'll put up a trade that I'm paying 10 ref for a key, I'm paying more then the real price of the key, but it doesn't show that the price of a key is 10 ref. Just so as your links, these people paying more then real price of the compatriot, but it doesn't show that the price of the compatriot is 2 keys or whatever.

Ok so please explain how do we provide counter proof if you just brush off anything that disproves your suggestion? Those are valid offers.

Hey look its 5 offers of more than 1 key and likely most of them sold!

If I will put up a trade, that I'm paying a key for a scrap, and I'll make a suggestion with this trade, you will count that as proof? I'm paying more then the real price of the scrap. This is just the same. These people paying more then the real price of the item. It's their matter. It doesn't mean that the compatriot worth 2 keys.

this is your problem: You are assuming before hand that the price of the compatriot is 1 key. So when someone shows you 5 people who offer more, you say that "they are paying more than the real price of the item". HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE REAL PRICE OF THE ITEM IS? Someone shows you 5 people who offer over one key but you insist that the real price of the item = 1 key. You are essentially ignoring the counterproof becuase you already got it in your head that the real price of the item is 1 key.

What if I showed you 10 people offering more? 15? 25? 100?

While I know agree I was wrong about the "real price" thing, I still don't think this kind of buyers should be a good counter-proof.

Ok and that is the reason I am not closing this suggestion, becuase I also believe that your suggestion has merit.

What got me riled up was that you were disclaiming those 5 links because you already had a predetermined price and anything above that "must be outlier"

That kind of logic is why the fantasy world of Darwinism exists in our scientific community today.

Good counterproof. 1 keys is in the range, it doesn't make sense to take 1.5 keys out when there are still 1.5 key sales. The item never was, nor ever will be, worth 2 keys, but for now it's still sellable for 1 and some ref. Downvote from me.

they're perfectly fine counter proof. The big mann on campus is 1.5-2 keys (traded for compatriot twice), the muffler is 1.2 keys (traded for it once), he has a sale for 2 keys, and he has a brown cooler key (which are worth like 1.3 keys) for it. All of these sales are from yesterday or 2 days ago. Once again, too many sales above 1 key to take 1.5 out of the range.

You didn't understand what we was arguing about. I agree that those items are above 1 key, I claimed that this kind of buyers are not a good counter-proof, because they might pay more then the (maybe) real price of an item. For example, I can put up a trade that im paying a bud for a bill's, I agree that buds are worth more then a bill, but this is my matter if I'm overpaying on the item I'm buying.

As of now the "real price" of the item, as you like to call it, is 1-1.5 keys. Until your suggestion is accepted 1 key is most certainly not the real price of the item. That whole "real price" argument is completely invalid, as it assumes this price suggestion is perfect in every way and there is nothing possible that could mean it's not accurate.

I'm not sure for which comment you related to, but you are asking who wouldn't pay 1 key for the compatriot, when it's priced at higher price. The answer is everyone. Everyone will pay 1 key for this item, but almost no one will pay a higher price. That's exactly the intention of my suggestion, and that's the reason I'm suggesting this new price, to show that the current price is outdated. To show that everyone can buy compatriot for a key, and higher price range is unnecessary, as the market flooded with 1 key sellers, I provided links to a lot of them in the proof down below.

oh ok sry then :). Off course all summer items are going down. The update has been over a week now so most of them will drop fast. Just look at the appetizer items. Most of them are 1.33 & only the brotherhood has a decent price now but still dropped a couple of keys in a month.

This might be considered a quicksale price at the moment. Selling 2 within minutes for 1 key each is very...fast for a random misc.

not really. I provided 13 links of people selling for a key I didn't saw them saying quicksell or fast add me. If you really want let me search 20 sec to find another seller for a key. Generally there are plenty of sellers for a key each.

There is a point where quantity makes it so the price isn't really a quicksale anymore. But to me, if they sell this fast at 1 key, the price might be fine as it is.

I hope this is enough to show you that the compatriot sold very well for a key, and sellers around 1.5 keys not doing well. As you can see there are already sellers below 1 key, but not enough to suggest a bigger drop. Have a nice day, comments welcome.
