price can't be lower (craft hat min price is 1.33).

the "craft hats for 1.33" price is very old, it reaches back to 2 crafthats for 1 key (=2.66 ref) and is not set in stone.

Craft hats were 1.33 before keys reached 2.66, the two are not really connected at all. 1.33 has just been sort of a discount to craft a hat on the 3 ref for a hat recipe. That's not to say craft hat price shouldn't change, but imo craft hat logic isn't the big thing here. It's the fact that there are so many out there for 1.33, unsolds even, that 1.66 is not feasibly possible on a large scale on the market anymore. A new price is needed.

I'm not saying that the price of craft hats should stay the same forever, as I said, feel free to go ahead and try to change it, until you successive, craft hats are 1.33 for me.

uhm might be true. My point merely was "price cant be lower" is just an unreasonable assumption.

I got counter proof from sales a bit lower. It is not enough to close the suggestion right now, but it is enough to wait 1 day or 2 and see if those "unsolds" (the majority is 3 days or younger) might sell.

Wrong, they actually always were 2:1 key, and with keys at 2.33 they were 1.11-1.22

I remember the mannconomy differently, as when keys were 2-2.33 or even lower before that, I would consistently buy them for a hat + .66-1 ref. I don't ever remember having to value a craft hat below 1.33 in my entire trading career until recently.

nope I don't. This is all backward knowledge, started playing around a year ago, and trading around current halloween (yeah I'm the reason keys rose, blame me)

yes, because unsolds are bad proof. The price isnt the only reason something does not sell.

I disagree with you. Unsold links are very important, they show that selling a hat for certain price is hard/impossible (that's why they are not sold) and a new lower price is needed.

No it's not. most of your links are useless, only the sales for 1.44, 1.55 and 1.66 is ok. So 1 baron sold for 1.66. Very nice. I provided 32 links of unsolds at 1.66, they are all older then 1 day and bumped. You will need much more solds at 1.66-1.44 to provide a decent counter.

I think availability is the bigger thing to take away from all the evidence rather than sold/unsold. Why would anyone buy, that is the few that are buying, at 1.66 when there is a mountain available at 1.33?

The question is not what people think, because you can not know it anyway, but what they do pay.

You have a point, but the team captain is a much more popular hat with higher demand. Many are bought and sold every day and it makes sense that between the people who want it fast or take their time a range develops. I don't believe that this hat has the same volume of demand as the TC though. Having said that, I think your suggestion to wait and see how the unsolds turn out is only fair, and reasonable.

Vincent doesn't say that all unsolds links are generally bad proof. He says that often, people providing unsold links that they aren't bumping often, or just new trades. All my unsold links are few days open, and bumped. He also says that a better indicator that a new ranged price is needed is if there are numerous sellers below the current flat price. We both showed well that there are plenty of sellers below 1.66, from 1 ref up to 1.33. So I think you missed few accuracies in Vincent's post, but I think my proof is fitting what he said.

Honestly, no I didn't realize that you just want to give it time, but even if I would understand that earlier, I think it should already drop, with the numerous sellers below current price and unsolds at current price.

Remember that a lot of my unsolds are already 3-4-5-6 days open and bumped, and still no buyers.

true but trade.tf only reaches back 2 days, so it is very hard (the old make bookmarks and wait style) to find older sold items.

If that helps I didnt vote yet, thats also the reason why I listed all solds that closed within the last 24 hours. Lets see what we have tomorrow :)
