People sell 1.22 because scrap.tf bots are usually out of stock.

I think this is enough proof to break the 1.33 barrier for craft hats. It's actually sad that so much people rely on just one site (scrap.tf) to sell their crappy hats.

It's sad that one site and few guys dominated market and somehow dictate prices. There would be cool if we had some more alternatives of scrap.tf bots.

I would argue you have your cause and effect flipped. I believe it's less that prices are dropping because scrap.tf bots aren't buying, and much more that scrap.tf bots aren't buying because prices are dropping. Crates have introduced storms of craft hats to the markets lately while there's been little incentive to be smashing them together- few low craft numbers to rush for recently while crates do the double whammy of making new hats more easily available than random crafting and swiftly dropping their prices so that there's even less potential profit than usual in the recraft gamble. Not to mention more craft hat genuines on the market than usual due to rushes to sell cheap to resellers on the steam market to raise pennies for games.

As a further example, there was a period where scrap.tf started buying and selling craft hats at 1.22. Did that result in craft hats dropping to 1.22 because of people's reliance on scrap.tf? No, they just ran out of hats because people bought them all up, knowing they can resell easily elsewhere.

I won't claim scrap.tf doesn't have any influence whatsoever, but I would deifnitely say it's being greatly overstated for these latest drops.

This is incorrect, i sell genuine hats for even more than 1.33, there may be a point to what your suggesting, but there is many people who sell and buy craft hats at 1.33; downvote.

Depends on what genuines...

People were a fool to buy this item.

I dont think it would be a great idea because people will start buying this item for even less than the suggested price to make their craft/profits.

This is happening because theres too many genuine items on community market at cheap prices for the summer sales, plus scrap.tf is not buying genuine hat/misc atm.

Traders enter in a trade server and offer to buy craft hats for 1 - 1.22 ref, as they cant sell in scrap.tf they want to recover what was spent. Thats my opinion.
