Suggestion: Strange Knife at 2 ref

Looking at sales on trade.tf seems like nearly all sellers under 1.66 refs are taken pretty darn quickly for an item which is so abundant. You got my upvote unless someone posts valid counter proofs

As a general tip dont list trades above the current price unless it has sold because they prove nothing, also lose the "====" lines, bold titles are enough for us to know what you are talking about. The lines makes it seem clustered making it more annoying to read :)

Also, wouldn't unsold trades above the suggested range prove that it shouldn't be higher than 2 ref? I'm not sure how that works, exactly.

Since you're working within the current range you dont need to "reprove" the range

I got lazy after that.

2 ref is definitely the norm, but I'm seeing an endless wall of unsolds at that price. I know you'll say that it's normal to find some at the bottom of the range, and that those get snatched up in an instant - but it's easy to find this for less than 2 ref, and they're not even selling that quickly for 1.66.

I see no reason to get rid of the range.

Um those links are no longer than 1 hour old (a few of those are even only 10 mins...) ill probably give it some more time to see if they are actually sold.

Sure, they'll sell faster than the 2 ref listings. My point is that there are always more being listed at that price, which is exactly why those two that are selling for 1.8 are still unsold weeks later.

That is true however atm seems like 1.66 refs is sold fast and other traders are willing to pay for more from the comments which negates the need for 1.66 refs to be included.

Eg. there are some sellers for keys at 5 refs buy if they are taken up very fast it shows that it is "underpriced" or "quick sold" and should not be included as bp.tf reflects the prices which people can buy/sell their items with relative ease.

Someone called my first attempt at this suggestion a "manipulation." Could you elaborate on what that means, exactly?

Oh it's a joke, there's a user called Offline that makes suggestions that bump up prices of things he owns multiples of. Since you're a new suggester many people will accuse you (wrongfully in this case) of attempting to increase the value of things in your backpack to increase your backpack value. You'd be surprised how many first time suggesters try to open an increase with almost no proof to increase their value sometimes as little as one scrap.

Oh, that makes sense.

And knowing is half the battle.

Here's a good example off obvious manipulation: The suggester owns one and is attempting to significantly increase the backpack price to make more profit if he sells.

Manipulation with unusual hats is sort of understandable, since even a small change amounts to keys worth of difference. Why would someone waste their time changing the price of an item worth less than a dollar, though?
