Counter-suggestion. The "Let's Not Hate Pigeon" edition. I don't believe this item should be bumped down to 2.66 flat JUST yet. This is a conservative drop. I'm pretty sure I'm using that term correctly.

If any of the 3's sell then good, it better justifies my range.
Feedback is appreciated.
Rep whoreI mean upvote :)
So you didn't find any solds at 3, but you want to keep it in the range?
Why?
Solds on common items like this can be extremely difficult to find, with the only resource for finding closed trades being resellers, unlikely for common items that aren't quickbuys, and trade.tf, a resource that will miss many trades due to the unreliability of text parsing and will only list trades over the past couple of days.
More significantly, while there's a good number of 2.66 sellers compared to the overall market, all of the 2.66 sellers look to be infrequent bumpers, the sign of an inactive trader. I would say it makes full sense to do a conservative pricing here.
I'm all for conservative, gradual changes, but given the suggestion history for this item, it is getting a mite silly.
Given the length of some of those unsolds, and the complete absence of offers/counter-offers on all of them, I don't really see the point in being conservative in this case
As always, there's the inherent problem of unsolds in that we don't know if and when their prices may have been changed in their time on the market, so I'd take length of time with a sizeable grain of salt. Offers/counter-offers tend to be scarce for items of this price anyhow, it's frequently take it or leave it.
But, as you will, a sold for 3 ref from some snooping over the last suggestion.

A long time up, though it was previously noted at 3.33 ref, who knows what it may have been before it was listed in the last suggestion or when it was altered to 3 ref before it sold.
http://backpack.tf/item/572060309 If I'm reading its item history correctly it sold a week ago; just barely in a reasonable timeframe for this suggestion, and given the buyer is a g collector I still might consider it an outlier.
Admittedly wrong on when it sold, but it was a side matter anyhow given everything else. And really, who goes after a genuine that's more expensive than unique who isn't looking for a 'collector's item'? May as well call anyone who's looking to buy an item to keep instead of resell a 'collector' if we're going that path. Not to mention that without a list of solds to work from, we can't say what's an outlier or not.
3/4 of the 2.66 sellers are inactive traders who haven't bumped in days, solds are inherently difficult to find on items like this (note the lack of even 2.66 solds), 'unsolds' and their length being 'unsold' are, as always, lacking lots of important context. 3 ref deserves to stay in range given what's available.
I think it's pretty safe to call this particular trader a collector; http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12993585
Given the votes on the both these suggestions, suppose it doesn't matter what I think
Yes, he's looking to get a lot of genuines. No, that doesn't mean every trade he makes should be assumed to be higher than normal.
I look to collect one of every unique hat/misc. Does that make me a 'collector' and every price I pay above standard? We'll have a LOT of prices to drop drastically if that's the case. On the flipside, I paid 6 buds- a clear overpayment- for a ghosts authority, but I'm not an unusual authority or ghosts collector by any means. Quite frankly, the 'doesn't count because collector' argument has always been nonsensical, the only truly notable thing it means is that we can guarantee they're buying to keep and not to resell.
Rip green colored items, but anyway proof seems ok enough so upboats
Oh my god what was going on with the admins.
Vincent kinda took the words out of my mouth. I do believe there are a few 3's happening out there. I don't think that this item needs an immediate flat price, that it should go down gradually and steadily, while leaving some room incase the trades still happen at the high end.
Also thanks Vincent for sticking up for the suggestion while I was sleeping. :3
