First off, I own this hat.
I'd like to update the price of this hat for two reasons: It hasn't been updated in over 5 months, and IMO the current price is incorrect.
Reasoning: It's a rare hat, and currently the one I'm selling is the only one of its kind on market.
Proof: Within 24 hours of putting my hat for sale I have received an offer that consists of stormy storm pugilist's protector, nut's and bolts executioneer, bill's hat and 4 keys.
Proof of this offer can be found here http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13293690
Based on its rarity and my offer, I feel like a bump is necessary.
Only rly rare hats or hat that don't have price can have be whitout range~!~
That's not very helpful. If you have an idea for the low end estimate, then speak out. Do note that the proof relies much on one offer alone and therefore there is not a low end estimate
Your proof is one offer only ... wait entil you get more ...
Trust me, I won't be here to update prices a second time when the solid proof which I provide gets instantly questioned without reasonable arguments. You're saying the offer I provided isn't enough yet you don't have anything concrete to prove me wrong. That's called ranting.
What I'm saying is that clearly the the proof I provided is more accurate than a 5 months old estimate. And if you disagree, please provide some proof.
Ok, I will try to do something, http://i.imgur.com/vqRxrjk.png
if you can say what effect are witch of those hats, I will try to say what price is caunted to .
If you think this through, you should realize that's not possible.
1) In every trade the other party makes theoretically loss while the other party profits. That means that if I would e.g trade a 2 bud worthy hat for three 2.5 buds worthy hats, you would need to lower the total worth of those three hats to match the worth of the 2 bud hat to compare the prices.
= In a nut shell you can't do such compares in trades containing multiple hats; you can't "count" the worth of my hat based on that trade because you don't even know how much the other party valued my max to be worth.
Just added one of the past owners :

Edit: I can add the past owner "V.Max's Head" to ask him if you don't agree ...
Your points are invalid. The amount a buyer from the past paid for it doesn't counter the fact that I've received a 3 bud offer. A 3 bud offer means that its current worth isn't 2 bud and 15 keys simply because one of the previous owners paid that sum for it.
Feel free to add the current owner of my Vintage Max if you're really too lazy to check those effects from my backpack lmao. I'm beginning to feel that you're just grieving here.
And do you not realize that I already answered the very claim which you keep saying and saying: You can't determinate the value of a single hat based on a trade which also contained 5 other hats.
10x you Mr.Cleverpun.
Even if I did something rong

So you're suggesting that a 4 month old selling price of 2 buds is more reliable source of pricing for this hat than the 1 day old offer of 3 buds? I mean what the hell?
You're simply unable to admit that you're wrong. This ridiculous last act of yours proves it. Digging up ancient selling prices that has nothing to do with the current state of the hat.
I'm just showing proof that the price shouldn't be 3 buds flat ..
Should be? That's what Price suggestion says. you probably meant shouldn't be.
Truth is, if you want to debate the price or low estimate any further you better get some real proof instead of some 1/3 year old selling prices.
Besides, a moderator can add a low end estimate if he deems it necessary. What's undeniable though is that the current price is incorrect.
You can provide more evidence than just a high offer. For example, what did you buy it for? And what did the previous owner buy it for?
The Flaming Lantern Flipped Trilby was a part of a larger trade so it's really hard to say its part in that specific trade it http://i.imgur.com/vqRxrjk.png
And I have no idea what the previous owner paid for it. Would have been hard even if I had asked as his English wasn't that good.
-Offers are not enough, you must provide sale (and it seems you would have to sell ur hat to provide proof of sale, only then you will have solid proof)
-You can't base a price on rarity.
-It doesn't matter how long it takes to get offer, 24 hours or 24,000 hours.
- Why would one need to first sell the item to update its price? Isn't it enough proof that a hat is worth more than 2 buds when one gets a 3 bud offer for it nearly instantly after putting his hat for sale? This is retarded.
- Being rare is under the reasoning, not under proof. Please read more carefully so that you don't put words in my mouth.
- And I didn't say time matters. All I said that withing 24 hours of putting my hat on market I've got 50% higher offer for it than what the current price suggests.
-You don't have to suggest only after you sell this, but since there isn't other Flaming Lantern Flipped Trilby in market, that's probably the only option left to provide proof of sale.
-I'm not putting words in your my mouth, but you said "BASED ON ITS RARITY and my offer, I feel like a bump is necessary." so you are basing a bump (new price) on rarity, and 1 offer. And as people said tons of time, 1 offer is not enough to change price. You need sale.
-You just said in your first sentence that you got offer instantly after you opened your trade, I can conclude from this sentence that indirectly you mean that if you would get this offer only 1 month after you opened your trade, and it wasn't instantly possible you wouldn't use this as proof, because it's not that fast. Just leave the matter of how long it take you to get certain offers.
I'll leave the time which it took to get an offer out next time, point taken.
You're right when it comes to the "based on rarity" point, but it's just because of my English. What I tried to say is that based on its rarity, I feel like its price has gone up* and that because of the 3.3 bud offer which I got I feel like a bump is necessary*
It's not 3.3 buds offer, It's more like 3 buds, but yeah.
No probs about the English mate, It's not my first language either :P
Be it as it may, the high end of 3 buds shouldn't be too much.
Anyways thanks for your replies, I appreciate.
