Suggestion: Mann Co. Supply Crate Key at 2.66 ref

It's because many people are thinking like you, that keys should be lower so they can buy more of them only by providing logic such as metal is now more rare, which might be true (in the future) to effect key prices, but yet it hasn't.

Even thought a lot of people (including me) would like this change, that's not exactly how it works. You can't suggest a price just because you want it to be that price :/ Even though some old price changes were accepted without the majority wanting it doesn't mean that we can go all the way back to 2.66.

Sure the metal price goes up and the Keyprice must go down. But this will take months until such price is realized. It follows that all other items have to raise up that fast to get and hold the Relation. Thats impossible...one step at a time :)

I believe backpack does not actively control the price, but it does so only passively. This website reports a price and everyone sells for higher. Price is then raised again; rinse and repeat. You cannot deny that the existence of this website has increased the price of keys, even if it was not created for that purpose.

I'll simplify some more. I presume I have to simplify a lot with key suggestions like this, but you have to do what you have to do.

I was not talking about this current suggestion, just the statement above. As for changing prices, it can only be done slowly whichever way. Having said that, if this website said prices were 6.22 ref (for e.g.) I'm pretty sure sellers would not sell for lower than that price!

It seems that finnaly, someone with all it's neurons home thinked of this. Truth is that this will now be accepted but this should get back. The guy that made thwe keys that big, should first think of all the other items prices. For example. You want to buy a bills right now and the key is 2,33 and you have no money to buy it so you get metal. Since the new update, the ones that had like 2 ref every week from the idling: Wake up! Steam stopped the item idle! This stupid idea with the ridiculous price of the key with 5.88. This guy has all of my support and I totally understand the people like the ones that voted for the key to be 5.88 to downvote. One advice: check the economy of the game,Check the item rate,Vote this up and stop this all.

you seem to forget the massive amount of metal in circulation. that didn't disappear when Valve killed idling. please don't encourage blatant price manipulation.

well idling might have stopped, so less new ref is coming on the market, but the ref they got before it was stopped is still here, if you want the price to really go down, go craft alot ot hats with metal so there will be less metal on the market.

wel the problem at hand is not the speed or reason the keys rose.

the problem is that it should not drop so immediately, or if it should even drop at all because of the stopped iddler (people still play and get refined for that, yet slower, i don't know how many people craft hats, which is almost the only way of making the amount of metal go down.)

yet now is the question, why was the price stable?

there probbably were sellers above 2.66 but people were not aware of it (i don't know, as mentioned before, did not play then)
