It’s been seven days.

I'm basing the burden of proof on the previous three accepted suggestions. As I'm simply raising the low end of the price, this suggestion by Apple ([url]http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51df2e134bd7b85022000015[/url]) is the most applicable to set the precedent. This requires showing buyers at the current high end, sellers at the high end and above it, and unsuccessful buyers at the low end. For buyers, I’ve placed the number of stated adds in parentheses after the url. Take it with a grain of salt, as not all trades have been up for the same time and not all buyers post. It’s mainly there to support the trend.

With keys you need to show that the price range is still possible even if it's been proven before. You are right in that the main part of this suggestion is the 5.88 buyers.

Good proof, upvote. Honestly, the prices aren't rising due to people selling for more, it's the fact that everyone is willing to buy them for more. People tell others who are selling their keys for 6.33 they're crazy, but if keys keep rising the way they are, they'll buy those keys eventually anyway.

Sellers for 5.66 get sold quickly, but if you put up a trade buying for 5.66 and bump decently you'll get a few keys within the day. At least from my experience.

Every time I see a key suggestion I automatically downvote but this is pretty good proof. I'm going to stay neutral though, I find the price for keys nowadays very absurd.

Seriously though, you can cry all you want but keys are going up, and they will keep going up until something dramatic happens.

Pricing keys down on backpack.tf won't help get the price down, backpack.tf is just a mere spreadsheet for prices, and not always accurate.

The purpose of backpack.tf is to make an accurate report of prices, actually.

the thing is the voting is pointless take a look at your key trade it got under 50%

That's because the community is biased, people ignore the big chunks of proof someone has because keys going down would just be in their favor.

and whats so bad for it being for the majority of the economy to want it down if it was actually community based the key prices would be stable and none of this 6 ref + trades would work

people believe keys prices being stable at a lower price is better, as they'd be more affordable, but then again keys selling easily for prices higher than 5.88 or even 6 show that keys are still going up, and won't stop any moment soon, but probably later. It's just that voters can't accept this fact and deny it with 'proof' that isn't anything but a very small portion of the market.

Everyone does realize that if the price of keys goes up they will still be the same price in the store, but they will be cheaper.

From my point of view within the 24 hour frame, i have found ALL of these keys above being sold at the 5.66 and below frame.

IF you really do need more proof i might as well work myself up a little but i could possibly gather the weeks links. I am missing some more outliers. Saw a random outburst around a day or two ago until yesterday showing keys being sold below 5 refined. One seller was persistent on one key per person and he had quite a lot of keys being sold. Sadly i missed them all D':

My point is there ARE keys being sold for this much, they are not outliers. Tf2finance has a very good chance if misinterpreting trade data. It is very clear about that. Also most 5.88-6 Refined are open trades i.e unsold.

Doesn't everyone realize that if the price on keys keep going up then the key price here will be more than in the store. It will make more sense to buy keys only from the store soon. The store price never changes.

If keys go up in price in terms of metal, then wouldn't the price of metal just adapt accordingly? I'm not too sure I understand what you're trying to say here.

I mean the price of keys in the store will never change, but if we change key price then almost everything else will have to have a price change. Look we have to change metal prices, which means higher wep prices since the metal will be more. And we will have to go through all of this trouble just to raise the price of keys. I remember when keys were only 2.66, and not 5.88

this proof is rock solid for one simple reason: every sale listed here below 6 refined is SOLD OUT. Honestly right now I would even approve a straight price of 6 refined... i am trying to buy 11 keys at 11x5.88=64.77 refined, not a chance.

i buy on average of 4-6 keys each week STILL at 5.33.
