This owner put it on the op for 7 buds, but it still can't be sold. How could a hat value at 8.1buds, but can't sell at 7 buds?

if u r not the seller u r a potential buyer and no1 can decide the price which they dont sell

yeah, the seller now wants 7 buds, but he can't give 7 buds with his bicorne in a week. It seems that there is no buyer interested in paying 7 buds for this hat. Just some of my foolish opinion:) Don't take it serious:)

If you set a B/O at 6 buds, nobody is going to offer over that. This is because you yourself just told every potential buyer that you are willing to sell the hat for 6 buds. If you set a B/O of 12 buds, it means that the offers should be close to it for you to sell it.
This is not lowballing.
maybe,There is a fact that this hat is overpriced and can't be sold at 7 buds.
i saw 2 b/o 7 buds 1 b/o 7.5 and 1 b/o 9 buds on outpost.. and u r trying to drop price 6 buds..why??
While those aren't selling, I linked a completed trade that had a b/o at 6.
If there's a clean, non-duped/not gifted hat available at 6 buds, who the hell is paying more than that?

It seems like you have a problem with open priceguides in general, not this price suggestion specifically.
This thread is about whether this hat's value is correct. It is not the forum to address whether or not the public should be sharing information on the perceived values of unusual hats.
i have problem with lowballer's price suggestions(not mean u) by using C/O..u r not doing it correct=open trades have B/O 7-9 buds atm..how u feel if some1 try 2 drop your item price ? and thats why soo many ppl and servers dont trust bp.tf prices..incorrect price suggestions

How do these matter? We know there is someone going to sell his under that. If I have a hat that doesn't get offers of 6 buds even though I tell people to offer 6 buds, then it isn't worth that much.

We do not care.
B/O's are not valid proof. Let's say I unbox a Sunbeams Gridon Guardian which would be 1 of 1. I put a B/O of 25 buds and get offers of 2-3. BP.TF cannot know the current value so it's not priced. I sell it for 10 pure (lol) and someone passes a suggestion for that much. Three months later there are 3 such hats, with B/O's of 5, 6 and 8 buds.
In that case, it's not even worth 5 buds if nobody offers that. The higher buyouts are not valid proof for anything and every trader knows it, even if they hate bp.tf.
If you want to buy a hat that has B/O's from 5 buds to 9 buds, would you offer a 8 bud hat for it? No, because you would be overpaying for it because one of the sellers is going to accept a hat worth of 6 buds or less.
EDIT: And the only reason why people hate BP.TF is the fact that when prices get outdated, those can be off by several buds. The other, not so good reason why people hate it is because they want to buy a rare hat for 4 buds and put a B/O of 8 buds in order to actually get offers that high. They won't if BP.TF makes a suggestion of 4 buds.
ofc i dont buy but i dont suggest a price looking c/o..i can offer all trades a few buds less to manuplate prices then..and ofc u dont care because u dont have a 8 buds worth unusual in your bp!!

I still see the spertan in that guys trade so i doubt a deal was made.
if so you cant suggest a price by offers
for example i sell a disco bolted bicorne and i got offered a cloud 9 jefe
jefe is higher than my hat but i hate jefe in general i wouldnt trade for a cloudy moon either. as for me prices are virtual.pixalated prices in pixelated products.
i would trade for a lower priced hat as long as it covers my taste.

is not fair for either potentional buyers or current owners to price their hats according to offers.

By the way the hat now is owned by apocalypse now.
without a trade ever hapened between those 2 I can only suggest the hat was sold in the community market.
you better close this suggestion until more of this get unboxed so we can monitor the sales better.
also you cant price an item for its community market sales cause bp.tf deletes them afte a week.
(something in my opinion should be fixed, we need to have acces in all time stats of the community market transactions.)
after all as time goes by noone will trade their hats on outpost or any other sites...market is the safest and lowball free platform. sellers will only keep the above 8 buds hats away from it cause it has some minor restrictions,you cant sell for above 304 euro or multilist high tier hats.
you should close this suggestion it is against almost every rule of this site.
also taking into account there is still open trades of it in the outpost you are damaging everyones buisness truying to suggest a fantastic out of your head price without some proofs.
buyers that will see your suggestion will use it to force the sellers to drop their prices.
that aspect is yet another flaw of the current pricing method we use...

The most recently completed sale was at a maximum of 6 buds (the buyout listed http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13623591 ), the hat was offered for another unusual worth around the same, and 7 buds buyouts are available and unsold on outpost.
