Statement: So I'm going to stop now and examine the situation, which is always fun. In the 2 pages of Outpost I only used links from the first page and among those from what I immediately saw. Yours is a classic example of supply vs. demand, clearly since the price doesn't have a range, you cannot justify selling for 2 ref. Among your links we have these:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13697156 - Immediately sold (Name tagged)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13528047 - Sold
http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9706672 - Didn't sell, it would be *deleted* if it had
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13033213 - 3 weeks old, not proper proof when the range has since changed.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13602962 - Didn't sell it, he still owns it, check his BP
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13481558 - Might have sold, but doesn't mean for this price cause when he closed the trade the item had not been sold.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13576138 - Sold
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12259389 - 1 month old, not proper proof, the range has changed.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13171453 - 2 weeks old, not proper proof, the range has changed.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13476082 - Didn't sell any, they're still in his BP, go check.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13637456 - Doesn't show anything, he may have listed it for 2.33, but that doesn't necessarily mean he sold it for 2.33.
Conclusion: This "proof" displays a part of bp.tf that I would wish didn't exist, you own 5 of them and you want the price to go up, you don't care that it negatively impacts others. I come to this conclusion only due to the "proof" you've provided which is absolutely unacceptable. 1.66 should be the range and if it somehow becomes 1.66-2 ref, I can promise you I will immediately combat it with all the usable proof that has been provided here in the suggestion alone.
"you own 5 of them and you want the price to go up"
lol obviously, everyone knows I do..
Anyways, thanks for your counterproof. I won't bother to counter it because everything you posted makes sense and looks true. If this suggestion gets denied, I will not be surprised and kudos to you for doing the hard work.
Offline just uncrates alot. Besides, It shouldn't matter how much of the item you have if it truly needs to be changed
I'm pretty sure Offline gets his stuff through trading, not uncrating...
no I'm pretty sure he just always uncrates
>blows keys on uncrating crap stranges
>bp value rises
>logic
I agree with that comment to some degree, but lets analyze it for a minute. Logically if an item needs a price change, it'll rise, but what motivation causes one to take the initiative and try to change it? The answer is fairly obviously, if I have something to gain, I don't mind spending 30 minutes to achieve it, in this case I was making sure an item wasn't changed simply because I despise this form of change, just as your reason for responding was probably to justify Offline because he uncrates often.
This is solid stuff. I looked as well and saw a lot of 1.66 readily available as well. But there are quite a few solds at 2 shown throughout the comments and no sales at 1.33 to counter them (I looked for these). This is a close one either way. Usually in these situations mods go with the community vote. I'll let another mod take a look as well, but that is what I would do in this situation.
The 4th link has been up for 3 weeks and has sold one. 5th link never sold. The "Sold a lot for 2 ref" trades were either up for 2+ weeks or some were never sold. (e.g.: Docks backpack (9th link) on Page 29 http://www.tf2outpost.com/backpack/76561197981498316 has still half+ a page of them)
It's a downvote from me
That should be enough proof for an upvote

Hmm I do agree with you. Too many unsolds of 1.66, some posted almost a week ago.
Staying neutral for now until Offline provides more proof which I'm sure he will. :>

Which is to say, I wouldn't consider this good evidence that they don't sell quickly at 1.66--none of these people are making any sort of effort to actually sell them.
Also, OWNS 5, DOWNBOAT
^ Am I following correct procedure, comrades?
10 for sale/unsold @1.66 in classifieds
http://backpack.tf/classifieds/search/id/520053c8ba2536a60e000005
Aye, and several of those are several days old.
You post 1.66 why ?
Its in the range so its like proof for him not counter proof
Some of those 1.66 links have not sold yet. My point is that they are always available at 1.66.
Haven't bought one of these in a while. Upvote.
Your comment makes absolutely no sense.
Should have made that clear lol. I meant my quick buying trades. Much less common. let the down votes rain
I need to reach -20, c'mon guys.
On a serious note, down voting comments that don't make sense<- The logic
The upvote/downvote for comments is simply a way of community moderation. It enforces thinking before you hit the "Save" button.
I didn't dislike it, but yes, you probably should have been clear.
But people will most likely downvote biasedly you no matter what (mostly seen in currency suggestions)
even in here http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51e83eccba25361565000008
I was making my point very clear, and some dumbasses just ewnt ahead and buried it, even though what I was saying was true and chigga didn't have a fucking idea of what he was talking about.
then again I was a white star back then and I wasn't really known here.
Offline, you have the"strange"ability to manipulate the prices of stranges in your favor and it always works ,upvote
Ive got to agree with dull.
Dull and apple seem to have good counterproof.
Downvote from me.
Don't take any offense from this but...
You have my down vote because you don't seem to have too much proof compared to your counter proof therefore it looks like price manipulation so to avoid price manipulation I give a downvote however if you get more proof then the counter proof you will have my upvote but for now it's a downvote
No offense taken, but everything I do is price manipulation.
