This hat is 1 of 2 and 1 of 1 on market. It has offers in range of 0.7 - 2.2 in unusuals. Many of these offers are 1.3 and some 1.6.
Free reputation from easily accepted suggestions like these :p Upvoted! :3
I see no reason for the low end to be any lower than 1.4, or the upper end being any lower than 2~
There are some offers on 2+ but also there are some of 0.7 on the low end so..
the .7 offers are just lowballs, and theres a sale at 1.4, and a sale around 2. Plus multiple offers between 1.6-2.
Agreed. Price shouldn't be based on lowballs. I wouldn't accept the overclocked robo stove pipe as proof of 2.2 or the power surge engi cap as proof of 2.2 (because neither have been priced). And he jumped on that tin gallon offer but that seems to be retracted.
As it is, your suggestion is only based on one sale. We will need at least 2 defined sales (not counting uncertain sales on unpriced hats) to truly evaluate what this is worth - http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/3306-new-rules-regarding-unusual-suggestions-please-read/
Feel free to resuggest after another one sells or after pricing the robo stove pipe or engi cap
why is 1.2 in the range, the lowest sale is 1.4, and the highest is 2.3, which is held up by an offer at 2.2?
Because of the first one that has been sharked for few stranges only ... also the relister didnt sell it for much more than a bud.
The relister didn't sell it for much more than a bud because he wanted to get rid of it quickly before being called a shark.
@Kaush, 2.2 shouldn't necessarily be in the range due to the fact that theres an unusual offered on another unusual. (i.e. you end up using the high end of one unusual to price another, which isn't right).
you're right about that, as well I think he needs to still factor in overpay, but still the highend shouldn't be 1.6
Agreed, 1.4-2 is probably right.
Yeah but if you dont take a look at these quicksales and sharks, the only sales are at 1.42 and 2.25. If you lower it by unusual overpay, it is about 1.3-2 ...
So if i shark a burning team captain for 1 bud, should i suggest a new range of 1-100 buds?
Sharks, Outlier, Lowballs, and Quicksells---None matter.
EDIT: Also meant 1.4, not 1.6 above.
but none of these have sold for 1.2, the lowest non outlier sale is 1.4
The first guy was sharked. He got only few stranges for it, this decreases the range. Yeah, there is a sale of 2+ and some on 1.4 but the relister and the unboxer sold it for lower than a bud..
How does some guy sharking someone decrease the range.... Quicksells and outliers are already ignored in pricing, so why would a shark be considered?
And again, the sharker sold it for less than a bud because he didn't want to be caught with it.
then the first sale is an outlier, and just don't include that.
I'm sorry sir, but your proof isn't valid, and I'm surprised no one noticed this before.
1 out of 2 of your sales sold for unpriced hat, therefore you have only 1 valid sale, which isn't enough for new hats/effects.
By the way, you didn't applied overpay calculation to any of the offers.
I took a look on the unpriced hats and saw they all have some offers of priced hats or even pure. Look at this discussion, Even if i did count the unusual overpay, it would be in this range ;)
No, you can't price this hat (Overclocked Robo Stove Pipe) now with only few offers you saw. To price this hat accurately you would have to provide 2 completed sales, at least, in a separate suggestion.
And no, he could just go through and prove the value for the stovepipe in this suggestion.
Well yeah, he can prove it here, but if he already does it, why not officially pricing the stove pipe?
Because you need more proof to do an actual suggestion than you would to prove its value here. You wouldn't necessarily need multiple sales, because you can assume its worth whatever the person offering it paid.
I.e. if someone paid 3 buds for an unusual (whether its worth 3 buds or not), and then offers that unusual on another unusual is kind of like offering 3 buds for that unusual.
Except your range isn't supported by the sales you found.
