Suggestion: Mann Co. Supply Crate Key at 5.66–6 ref

But logically, why do buyers matter the most? They need profit and if we want to sell for their price, we do. If we want to buy for their price, we do. Sometimes you don't want to look through all the pages of infinite buyers to find one that's available, instead putting up your own trade and get it gone quickly. If we ignore all prices below the range because they are considered quicksells, things couldn't fall in value.

And unsolds doesn't matter since it's keys we're talking about and unlike other items they don't stay on the market for long, so sold and selling under the current range is the only way.

Maybe we just don't want to sell to those buyers? You don't always have to sell to the highest bidder, there are more factors.

(Also I'm not parted in the key war, I just think that these buyer arguments are quite lame)

this makes the trader an irrational trader. the prices here are based on rational traders. the fact that there are buyers struggling to buy keys at 5.88 implies that it's nearly impossible to have a successful trade buying for 5.66.

Can't we just accept that keys are being traded in the range suggested? It doesn't need to be 1 scrap wide. With such a sought after item, maybe we need to include quicksells?

As you mods say yourselves, what bp.tf says doesn't matter, the market will still be the same, so what would it hurt if it slipped past? Someone will suggest a raise soon enough anyway

I really believe that you are making the incorrect suggestion, I was thinking that the 5.88-6refs suggestion is a way to "secure" that 6refs is still in range when there's shit ton of unsolds for 6 refs on outpost.

The correct suggestion should be 5.77-5.88, rather than 5.66-6refs, it's so hard to see a key for 5.66refs without being sold in SECONDS

After reviewing all the links, counterlinks, and comments as well as discussing it with the moderation team, it is clear that the current range is perfectly fine.

5.77 still occurs with considerable frequency. While there is an abundance of buyers at 5.88, the volume of sales at 5.77 is impossible to ignore.

6 seems to be a matter of convenience, both for rounding and speed, but it is still relatively easy to get with modicum of patience.

5.66 happens, but it is not common enough to include in the range--while that may change in the near-future, 5.77 and 5.88 are far more common.
