CONCLUSION:

Highest Legit Sale was valued at 14 Keys, so I'll set that as the high range. Many B/Os and valid offers at 13 Keys, so I'll set that as a low range.

Sold mine for Nuts Scotch bonnet(~12 keys after overpay)+2 keys. Upvote.

Thank you for the proof. I will add it and credit it to you. Could you possibly get a screenshot of that in your trade history? It would really help a lot :D

It's an old price, he is just reconfirming the range

It's called refreshing the price of an Unusual if it gets too old.

those 3 trades would be invalid since they are done well over a month ago

They are not invalid considering the price of this Unusual is 5 Months Old...

Read the guidelines on making an unusual suggestion. 1 month offers/sales are generally frowned upon, anything over 2 is just about invalid.

Um. I've done many Unusual suggestions like this before. Don't tell me to read the rules bro. I know what I'm doing. If you think I'm wrong, why don't you argue it with Mr. Bucket who accepted my last suggestion using older than 1 Month Old Proof.

Why are you constantly so rude in your suggestions towards people providing feedback? All I'm saying is that you should consider using more recent proof instead of 1 month+. Man.. :S

I'm not rude. It's called I'm experienced and I know what I'm doing. And if you can find any more "recent" sales, go ahead and show me, instead of insulting me when you know you are wrong.

                  http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5225d4d44f96f4f2608b4568

Not rude? Questionable. But that's your thing There's nothing for me to find. It's on your end, as you want to defend 14 keys, do you not? More recent sales of 14 keys is all that's being asked. That isn't my job to find it.

When did I claim that offers didn't count? Mr. Watch's trade is valid. Not arguing that either. The offer of 14 pure was from 3 months ago. Way too outdated. Even more so is the 13 keys + 5 ref, from 4 months ago. These offers are too old. Even if your past unusual suggestions were fine with ~1 month old offers/sales, 3+ is not okay.

Did you even read to what the hell I typed?

Offers that are not past the last suggestion date which in this case is 5 Months ago are valid.

Mr. Bucket and Michael Puddington have both passed my suggestions with me using over 2 month old proof, as long as it did not pass the last suggestion date in time.

I'm just trying to get this up to date.

Tell me, what implies that I didn't read what you wrote? Also, if that was the agreement between the group of you, they should consider changing this: http://i.imgur.com/9NkBR9r.png?1 . Just saying. I understand you're trying to get things up to date. Again, not arguing that.

Where exactly did you get that screenshot from? Just randomly posting screenshots ain't gunna help you.

                      http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/7-how-to-create-a-good-unusual-price-suggestion/

What do you mean randomly posting screenshots? Have you seriously never taken the time to read this before?

I have taken time considering I have more Unusual Suggestions passed then you. Why don't you take your time and read this.

                        • ✓ DO find confirmable past sales. TF2Outpost and TF2Items let you see the trading histories of many items, including unusuals. Dig into the past and find offers on past listings that are by future owners of the hat. If you cannot find any written offers, try looking at the histories of promos and other unusuals traded around the time by both owners to see if they were traded between those owners of the hat you are researching. But remember that this method may not tell you ALL that was traded. Just use some common sense; a burning flames noble was not just traded for a vivid plasma one! Something else was added.

✓ DO highlight the offers you are focusing on in the links you provide and clarify your proof much as possible. Do not just slap up a few links to trades and say that a price should be raised/lowered. Explain why you settled on the range you suggestion and point out the offers and sales that led you to your decision. Try to mention if the offers are in pure, unusuals, items, or mixed. Doing this saves the moderators time and allows them to spend less time researching individual suggestions.

The two posts work together. Dig into the past if need be, but don't dig up months old evidence. Find somewhat recent confirmable proof. It makes for the best proof. Side note? Accuracy is much more important than accepted suggestions.

"Accuracy is much more important than accepted suggestions."

My accuracy is pretty on task. I have found valid offers and even adjusted the price of offers to what they were during that time (For an example the key.)

So you are basically saying that two of the backpack.tf mods are inaccurate?

When did I say the mods were inaccurate...? I'm saying that perhaps a common decision needs to be reached between them as to how old proof has to be before becoming invalid, as there's not a common conscientious between them, seeing how 1 mod suggests 1 month old proof, and 2 others suggest 2-3 month old proof.

I'm also not talking about this accuracy on this suggestion, rather than total suggestion accuracy.

So you agree that my suggestion is valid or are you still saying that it is incorrect?

I personally see it as invalid because I don't believe that 3 month old offers should be considered valid. That's my opinion, and I'm sorry that it apparently had to escalate into a full argument.

It seems like that others agree with me. I'm sorry that you think this is invalid, but by experience, I'm 99.87% sure that this is a valid suggestion. Yeah. I'm sorry as well, I can overreact sometimes as well :P

yeah they are invalid. bp.tf deals in updated prices. which means the trade has to happened within the last month. not like a quarter a year ago

And just like that, this range is wrong. Due to your only 14 key sales offers being invalid, It doesn't belong in the range.

He is reconfirming the range, it's 5 months old

I was offered one of these + a craft 89 item(can't recall) for my O. Fire Capotain (18-19 keys). A low craft can easily go for 3-5 so I'd say this is definitely a fair range. Upvote!

Just posting here as well. As I stated in the other suggestion. If a hat is rarely traded (0 or 1 sale in the last month), going back up to 2-3 months is okay. But if there are multiple sales in the last month, anything older than 1 month should not be used.
