This weapon is being consistently sold on the Steam Marketplace for $9.90, which gives at least $8.50 to the seller, equating to 4 keys. This weapon is selling for more than other botkillers that are already worth 4 keys, such as the Gold Botkiller Mk2 scattergun, which is worth 3.8 to 4 keys. If this isn't reflected on backpack.tf, people will just use this as an exploit to get an extra key, and backpack won't be keeping up with the more recently released Steam Marketplace.

The Steam Market Isn't enough man. You need proof from trading sites like the TF2 Outpost. Also you need proof that people fail to buy these for 3 Keys.

If backpack.tf is unwilling to keep up with newer developments like the Steam Market, I fail to see how it can stay ahead of the game when people can so easily circumvent backpack's pricing system.

Except not everyone deals with the market, plus you can sell a crate for $0.03 on the market. Last time i checked, you can't sell 10 shit crates for a ref.

      9 x .85 = $7.60. Logic = flawed.

I have no idea what you are talking about here. 4 x $2.04 = $8.16, so people can easily get 4 keys for this off Steam Market.

$9 on market is actually $7.83 in your pocket.

It's more like $9.90 actually, I didn't realise you would be so nit-picky. $9.90 easily gives the seller enough for 4 keys.

the most recent sale is for $9.14, and the cheapest selling is 9.77, way to keep your info straight and consistent.

And if you look at the several before that they would be enough for 4 keys.

Again, what I am trying to do here is give a bit of a different perspective, I am perfectly happy to circumvent backpack's pricing system, I just thought it would be courteous to let them know before I ripped them off.

A 15% tax gets applied to the item when you sell it on the market, 10% going to the game and 5% going to Steam. http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/440/Strange%20Gold%20Botkiller%20Sniper%20Rifle%20Mk.II The most recent sale was at $9.14.

I agree, but I reiterate, the sale literally 3 hours before was enough to buy 4 keys. You have to admit, even if some of these sales aren't all the way to 4 keys, they are closer to 4 than they are to 3, right?

You mean the one sale that was way higher than all the others?

                      Outliers don't matter.

You still haven't answered the question. It is still closer to 4 than 3 right? I am happy to change my suggestion to 3.5, but I believe 3 is just wrong.

This weapon is worth $50000000 Million Bucks to fire this for ONE TIME!! IZ GUD DEEL

              Not even doing it correctly

I fail to see how it is price manipulation. I am selling mine on Steam Market, so the only reason I am posting this suggestion is to try and allow backpack to keep up with the developments happening on new platforms.

While I appreciate your polite manner, steam market isn't really good proof.

Really, where a majority of the real trades are happening is on sites like outpost and bazaar. You need proof from there, not from the steam market.

                    O, so we're disliking solid proof now...nice.

Because you are still trying to use sites like tf2outpost to disprove me. The whole idea of me creating this suggestion is to show you that at this point in time, the Steam Marketplace is providing a method to circumvent all of that proof you just posted. You can keep giving me your supposed proof, but what I am trying to get through to you is that backpack should be adapting to OTHER methods of trading as well, or it will find itself being conned.

I also sold a nb nano on the market for the equivalent of 19 keys (after fees). Yet, there are multiple sales on Outpost around 12.

                        So...should i suggest 19 Keys?

O, and how about the fact that some weapons are $10 in the store....people do buy those, so should i suggest a cow mangler be $10?

Plus, the market is bad because for all you know, everyone that has sold has had 4 keys worth of s. parts on them, you just don't know.

Even if you use backpack.tf's own system for checking Steam Market prices, they say it is over 4 keys, and I quote from backpack's description:

All prices are compiled automatically from sales on the Steam Market based on the last 250 transactions that are a maximum of 1 week old to ensure the price is fresh. All prices listed include all fees.

I find it extremely unlikely any significant percentage of the last 250 sales had any strange parts applied.

                      Based on what......also, there aren't 250 sales.

And again, if we're going to use market prices, then all crates should be raised to $0.01-$0.03 (10-32 per Ref), and cow mangler should also be made $10, since its $10 in the store, and people to buy it from the store.
