Conclusion:
Alright so we've got a range of 2.1-5.7 buds which is way too vast to be an accurate range. We've got the most recent sale at 3 buds flat along with a recent offer of an Ghost Tyrannus (~3.7 buds). The 5.7 buds is too far back, so that can be ruled out due to initial hype and no values listed back then. The Broadband Bonnet is rather odd, but thus far pretty much every offer falls above that, so I do not believe it is viable to include in range. Therefore I'm placing the range at 3-3.7 buds which is just below the energies as I believe this effect should be tierwise.

Maybe you should try and get more proof of offers in 3 - 3.7 range.
You really can't set a price when the offers are very different.
most recent sale was at 3 buds pure and an offer of a ghosts tyrannus (3.7 buds). 3-3.7 seems fine.
The price isn't unstable at all actually especially since there's no price. Its just the offers that initially seem rather odd.

However, the Sulphurous Conjurer's Cowl was unpriced at the time of the offer on June 1st. It was only priced on backpack.tf on June 11th with a value at 4.8-6.5 buds according to the backpack.tf graph: [url]http://backpack.tf/stats/465/5/64[/url], therefore the owner would have to guess at a rough estimated value for a new unusual effect that really hadn't fallen in tierwise yet. He might not have taken it because he valued it lower than it currently is priced or maybe he liked the crown better and didn't want to take the risk of trading for a different, new unusual.

Hmm the tyrannus guy was instantly asked to add him, but no respond and that was some days ago already, the trade is closed in the meantime.

All in all not sure about your high end.
Trade has only been up a week. You'd need to prove a the current backpack.tf price is inaccurate and in need for a change if you truly want to use that as an example.
Anyways the offer of the unpriced Cloud 9 Escorter may be another offer at the high end considering the offer it received though I did not price it because too much work.

Still doesn't really look like that trade went through or will ever went through.
That ghosts slug offer... Wouldn't use it to see the high end. First, it looks like it was retracted. Second, the price is outdated and the guy is quickselling at 3.3 (for a week?). There are multiple b/o's at 4 and even if you took overpay at the b/o, you would get 3.6. And if it were solid evidence, it wouldn't be an issue to be 0.1 off, but it's not even solid.

Not really seeing anything usable. Do you have a second defined sale? I'm only seeing one. And we don't want to price unusuals based only on 1 defined sale for exactly this reason.
- AA offer was 3 months ago - too old for this kind of stuff
- Cloud 9 escorter offer of 4 pure was retracted - and it's unpriced
- Cowl is an outlier even if its listed price is accurate
- PE conq might be a lowball? don't know. don't like basing prices on offers, especially non-pure ones
We made the rule for 2 defined sales before a suggestion for exactly these situations.
