After having this hat for about a month and not getting many offers I sold mine for 1 bud + S. Grenade Launcher (priced 3-3.3 keys at this time). Others have their hats listed for similar prices and are not getting very many offers. It's a great hat with very fitting effect but not selling very well right now.

"Quickselling for 23 keys" with no offers: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14422865

Selling =/= price
Of course not... those are two different words.
He is pricing based off of buyouts. The buyouts are lower than the current price and therefore needs to go down
You are correct sir. If the hat is being advertised at a lower price than the price backpack.tf has listed, either people should be swooping up those hats and selling for higher or the price on backpack.tf is too high. It's not a huge adjustment. Only 6 keys and I felt it fair to leave the high end around 1.4 because I'm sure if everyone moved their price that high, eventually SOMEONE would buy it.
This hat needs to be worth 100000000000 buds
Ummm, neutral. I'm biased
Your quicksell link has already been sold after maybe 20 hours. Also, where did 1 bud come from? Even the quicksell price was at 1.1 buds and the price you sold it at was also around 1.1 buds.
Also it appears we have two different suggestions for the same hat. Your suggestion does seem to be more logical, I think that the price should lean more to 1.1-1.4 or 1.2-1.4 as that seems like a better price.
I just think 1-1.5 seems like a more reasonable range to put instead of restricting 1.2-1.4. That's a 4 key difference and I'd say that's pretty negligible even at this low price of unusual.
Please use defined sales to establish your range. You have no proof of 1. And as is, I would have accepted the other suggestion as closer to what this should be. But:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14372886 - B/O 1 (reposted his trade, I wouldn't consider this a quicksell)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13792010 - sold for of ze goggles. bp histories are still not working, but his bp value went down by the corresponding amount and he doesn't have anything else in his item inventory added - of ze were priced at 1 before ref change
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13252334 - b/o 1.2
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13252334 - blizz fuka (offered so no overpay) - ~1.1 before ref change
