Do I dare suggest a new price? YES I OWN ONE, BUT PLEASE READ THROUGH MY SUGGESTION BEFORE YOU MAKE A DECISION
I just bought this. Like Just now. Scorching Trophy Belts seem to be going up. It's a God-Tier OLD effect on a RETIRED hat. Something everyone likes. The price has also not been updated for a whopping 5 months.

On that same trade ^, and upon doing some further research, it seems like he managed to trade a Sunbeams Trophy 1:1 for the Scorching Trophy. (6.2*.9 = 5.58).
Accounting for the current low end of the hat, I think it should be bumped up to at least 6. And accounting for the high end is my Unusual overpay of about 8.5 buds in a Cloud 9 Anger.
Might I also mention that these rarely come on the market? This is the first time I've seen so many (2!) on outpost.
Criticism and counterproofs (as well as more proofs) are welcome.
Dat range. Are you sure that one of those sales aren't outliers?
PS: Beams Trophy outdated by 5 months.
I'd like to think that the last trade with the Sunbeams Trophy is an outlier, if you look at the other prices. They all hover around 8-8.5 in pure/unusuals. The 5.5 bud offer is definitely skews the price in a negative direction.
I'd be more than happy to resubmit a smaller, but higher range for 8-8.5 if the range is that big of a problem.
well that was quite a leap, and as an owner of a burning trophy I don't necessarily think it's this much :/
I agree that generally Burning > Scorching. But however there are a lot less of these on the market, and it seems to be a more desirable effect among us snipers.
I've also heard that many of the Burning Trophy's are duped; driving down their value. I look on outpost and there are currently 11 Burning Trophy Belts for sale. Many have their buyouts set at 8+, with one at 7. There is a quickseller selling his for $150, which is ~4.5 in pure. Most of them have been on outpost on average ~1 week, without any good offers. I would love to do a Burning Trophy suggestion, but now is not the time.
I took into account the rarity of the Scorching Trophy Belt, and its appearances on the market. A couple transactions took place while the limited supplies lasted. Those transactions reflect the current range, possibly a bit higher (@8-8.5).

You dont have to think to suggest you have to prove and add proof.

He sold his trophy for 6 + 8. that's slightly higher than my low end. He also mentions a guy that wasn't taking offers below 6.
Keep in mind this was 5 months ago, so prices may have shifted. I took the high end of his suggestion and made it my own - ~6buds.
It doesnt matter that proof is too old to be valid or considered.
Retracted offers don't really mean much, and "8.5 mixed" is very subjective. Some information on the actual sale would be helpful there.
I agree that the "8.5" mixed is a little vague, I'll see if I can get some info on that.
As for the retracted offer, I see it that the demand for the hat was clearly there. He was
1) Unable to complete the transaction due to lost of interest
2) Unable to complete the transaction due to lack of currency (i.e. bought another hat)
I believe that the 8 pure strongly represents a want for the hat, and the commitment to pay such a price for it.
I was told he payed a Burning Trophy Belt + ~1 bud in sweets.
Accounting for overpay (6.3-6.9 -> 6.6 median, 6.6*.9 = 5.94) and + a bud, it puts it a a price of 6.94, a bit under the heart of my suggestion.
Not exactly "8.5" in mixed, so I think the higher end needs adjustment.
Perhaps 7-8.5 or something similar
That range is... kind of too wide.
