any proof of unsuccessful at .77 and .88?

Narp. No one offers .77 and .88. They go for .66, and get rejected, or they offer high.

I think I remember seeing one person unsold for .77 through all the trades I went through, but it was pretty young. Want me to try fetch it? : p

Whaddaya know. I tried to find it and it's closed already. Apologies.

you shouldn't make a flat price if .77 and .88 are possible. You have to show that they aren't possible.

I know that, but like I said, they go fast. And they're rare, rare enough to be argued as outliers.

Then chief Indian and puddingkip would get pissed off.

Only one of those (the first bazaar link) is unsold. All of the others are sold out, and they all sold out within a day, with little to no bumping. What does that tell you?

Some of those, and I mentioned them in my original proof, went exceptionally fast, which is why they are arguably not good counterproof.

i never said i dont agree with your suggestion (hell, i'm selling these for 1.66).

Well I just thought that you were attempting to provide counterproof, as you posted a bunch of links but didn't say anything about them being quicksells.

Also, might I ask, how goes business at 1.66?

because of the AMOUNT OF THEM being sold at .66-.77, that's great counterproof. You can't put a flat range on it if there are almost the same amount of counterproof as your proof.

I'd disagree, as I'd say they quicksold, which would mean that they aren't usable proof.

again. it doesn't matter if they're "quicksold" If there are 3/4 the amount of counterproof links as your proof. there's many being sold at .66-.88, and that's why the range is there. They go fairly quickly because it's a low end. that's expected.

Part of the problem is, .77-1 ref would just be rejected, were it suggested. .66 shouldn't be in the range. It quicksells, and I don't agree with what you're saying about there are too many, as a quicksell is a quicksell.

Last suggestion was closed because it was trying to adjust to .77-1 ref, however was rejected as it was such a minor change. 1 ref may not be a perfect price, but it's a better price than .66-1 ref, and from what I gathered it's pretty much one or the other.

it isn't better then .66-1 ref. The point is, a quicksell is a quicksell, BUT if it is selling at that much constantly, it is accurate. If people are willing to sell for that, and many do, the price is fine. you can't suggest 1 ref flat if there is counterproof that shows .66 and .77 are easily possible, because I see 2x the amount of counterproof on this suggestion as actual proof. 14 links of less then 1 ref, only 7 of unsuccessful <1 ref/sold 1 ref.

                http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14362448 - sold 4 for 1.11/each, quite fast

                http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14511687 - restocking at 0.77 - nothing

                so upvote

More proof, please thumbs this upuntil it is next to the rest of the proof:

Also have been multiple in classifieds at a ref, yet only one is currently there. This implies that they all sold, but isn't solid proof of course.

              Happy Spu?

                Gud prof upboat

it's rare to find one at .66 that isn't a quicksell (and this weapon is unjustly underestimated, a good defensive demoman can make miracles with this thing, personal opinion)

Personally, I think it's how the stock sticky should be. I dislike demospam :s

But I'd have to disagree that it's underestimated. Granted, the strange sticky has several reasons why it won't increase in value alltoo much so you could argue one of these, however they both come from crates of equal value, so the implication is that they will be unboxed in roughly equal amounts, thus similar supply levels. Yet people are willing to pay more for the SR, which implies that the demand for the SR is higher.

indeed, I sense that main demos use more the vanilla stick but thinking more about it I agree with you, thanks for the clarification

Demospam is powerful. Of course mainer demos would use the stock sticky : p

Plus also it is easier to jump with the stock sticky, in my opinion. Also not sure if it is allowed in competitive.

Okay. There wasn't a lot of proof to start off, but leaving this up for 2 days has really allowed for a buildup of solid proof justifying this new value. There are a few sold under 1 still (very quickly) but enough going above 1 to counter. 1 ref seems to be the most commonly traded value.
