These are selling for 1 key + metal...
1 key + 1 ref.
It means these trades happen in keys, not in pure metal. Therefore, you should put up a price in keys instead of metal.
6 ref = 1 key is well-known fact, and some trades include "6ref=1key".
6 x 1.2 = 7.22, not 7 flat.
Selling =/= Sold.
If I'm right, normally Selling =/= Sold doesn't apply when you're trying to prove a lower range, it's to show that there are people willing to sell for a lower price consistently. If people don't buy for the high/current price, and you can prove that a lower range is possible, then unsolds can count.
People throw this term around way to much nowadays, learn when to say or don't say it at all!

These taunts sell for 1 key + 1 ref most of the time, not enough proof to change the currency. I'm afraid 6 links are not enough proof for a common item like this, tons of pages on Outpost.
why not put it in keys still? like 1.1 or something like that? the prices are almost the same. im going to remain neutral for now.

well, some people also say 1.1 is 1 ref, 1.2 2 ref, 1.3 3 ref etc, i guess those people are ahead of time for when (if they do) keys reach 10 ref.

oh my. But 1.2keys are realy confused. so idk this 1.2 mean 7 or 8.
the general vibe, me included, is that everyone assumes 1.2 keys is 1 key 1 ref. the '.2' is technically ~1.22 ref, but it's close enough for the system that backpack.tf has in place. "1.16 keys" will make people get out their calculators

but you know, in OP, there are many proofs. I took some trades of many proofs.
also, selling =/= sold, 6 isn't much, i mean look at other (accepted) Suggestions on other items, like keys, new hats/miscs, etc. people have Tons of links for proof,

Although I do agree that there is a lack of proof for this trade to be valid.
in some cases it unsold can be counted, both to rise and lower the price of items.
Unsolds do not count as valid proof when trying to raise a price. If they're unsold for above the current range, then it's not valid. And if they're unsold at the current range, you shouldn't be trying to raise the price in the first place. Unsolds only count towards reducing a current range.

1.2 keys is everyone taking as 1.17 keys, so it's the 1 key + 1.00 ref.

I have yet to meet a person that sells a 1.2 key item for another then 7 ref,though it could be just me...
tbh, i'm yet to meet anyone who does anything like 1.##, normally it's just 1 key, 1.2, 1.3, and so on, no 1.17's, 1.83's, etc.

Probably one of the stupidest ranges I've ever seen ._. 1.2 keys IS 7 ref (pretty much) and as long as it's above 1 key it should not switch to refined

As others have pointed out, all but a few of your links are asking for key + metal. This item is predominantly traded in keys, so there really isn't anything wrong with the current price.
Many of those links are proof of about 1.2 keys. As in they want around 1 key 1 ref. That is very different from 7 ref because the ratio between refined metal and keys is always changing.
Downvote.
