5 keys sells REALLY fast, many people are willing to pay more

At the moment of posting Classifieds had only 1 at 5, rest 5.5 or above, the 1 at 5 is by a seller in the "Quicksells" section so it probably sold already

http://bazaar.tf/trade/428182 I've had my trade up for ~5 days and it hasn't sold.

You have 34 views, all I know from that it's not a lot of view and you might be unlucky, it's a fact that less than 5.5 sells insanely fast and people manage to sell even for above 5.5, such as 6

And also if I'm not mistaken op is more common than bazaar

Actually, I opened up my Outpost trade before that: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14430443 . Been open for a week, price hasn't been changed and is on 2-hr Autobump, and I haven't gotten any adds yet.

Than you're just unlucky, people sold here for 6+

If you really want to sell, you can do lower than 5.5 and sell within hours, all I know is that people are willing to pay more, it's a fact people sold and sell for more, for 5.5 and it's a fact anything below 5.5 is a quicksell, sells like hot cakes

Wanted to test your opinion so I bought one and put it up at 5key 2 ref hasn't sold in over a day http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14583046

You have 19 views including mine and yours

The selling depends on the time you bump it amount of bumps and also views, some people are unlucky and some manage to sell faster for even higher price

All I know is that all the links except yours that I have found of less than 5.5 sold INSTANTLY, btw if you sell it in the few hours and or have someone who added you it's still pretty fast

And the rest I know: people manage to sell it at even higher than 5.5 such as 6, I don't suggest 5.5 - 6 I just think it's pretty simple to get 5.5 or more so the range isn't needed

He actually has over 50 views now and still unsold after 3 days.

If his trade was up for 5 days and only got 34 views, there probably aren't many people looking to buy this item right now.

Or and this is the truth, most sellers are donators and a big part is blue donators which means his trade is in 1st or 2nd page not for a long time, so not too many views and sometimes people like me or you search it with no intention of buying it

And yes, sometimes people are unlucky, I haven't seen an item with many pages on outpost that doesn't have some "unlucky" sellers, that doesn't mean price should go down

34 views is actually a lot. If I'm mistaken, "quicksells" are sold fast (in this case, his trade has been up for a week) within at least <20 views. What's worse that it's a Buy Now bot which just supports him even further. You have no excuses here.

Why is this guy and the other unsuccessful seller getting downvoted?

Some people put more effort into their attempts at price manipulation than others.

So having a sale on outpost is price manipulation now? Cool.

I'm not sure if this is what he meant?

Herp a derp a durrrrr i'm saying he's getting his friends or using alts and proxys to manipulate the comment ratings. Alot of people just try to vote for what they think will win since this site encourages that with badges and whatnot, and the quickest way to try to figure that out is to see how the comments for and against are being rated.

Nice passive aggressive response btw, rage more :D

Cool, sorry I did think it a little odd for you to have a go at me, thats just the way I interpreted it. Sorry mate

I sold mine for 7 keys, it was up on outpost for only 3 days. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14470950

Mind taking a screenshot? The history on Outpost shows that it ends at you.

Check his backpack... many keys no #40....

First buying trade was for a Salv #50 crate, not 40. Otherwise, some good proof except maybe more buyers.

I'm sorry about first buyer, didn't notice

Most buyers are insane lowballers who try to pay much less than current price, and are obviously not successful

Tis the truth, unfortunately. :< Outpost in a nutshell

From a buyer's perspective, many sellers are asking for more than their item is worth, since the fair deals aren't the ones that stay on the site for long periods of time.

Some of this proof is questionable. The guy buying for 5.5 with "not too many sellers" bought 9 at that price, because that's an unusually high price for a buy order. Most everyone buying them on TF2OP is trying to get it cheap for 4 keys (meaning it's worth somewhat more), and seem to be trading successfully at 5.

Pan + Key for 2 #40s is basically offering 5 keys per crate, a few of the middling sales and basically all the 6+ sales are a week+ old and/or a link to a closed trade without someone accepting the deal in the trade comments.

Pan + Key is 5 each (as I said) but you can't say that if you don't wait a bit it won't go higher and even so, did he accept any? no and he also had Pan + High-Five (1.2)

I DOUBLED-CHECKED EVERY link so please tell me which link isn't sold

                    Selling 2 at 5 keys (open, 2 hours) - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14645713

                    Unsold at 5 keys (9 hours) - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14638967

                    Unsold at 5 keys (15 hours) - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14636056

                    Closed unsold at 5 keys (24+ hours) - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14625109

                    Unsold at 5.5 keys (6 hours) - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14640624

The classifieds have an unsold at 5,3 (8 hours) and 5.5 (4 hours).

I think these crates sell well at 5 and have been increasing in value marginally (right now to around 5.2), but it's suspect that these deals aren't being snatched up if they're really worth as much as 5.5 right now.

They have 17 views max and 2 of them are mine, yes I opened twice, even if not 1 is mine, and 1 is yours and probably some other opened here in op

Your closed unsold at 5 wasn't opened a lot at all, it was closed THE MINUTE it was opened

So you have 4 links, 1 unsold for few hours with no views at price I think it should be, how is that proving range is necessary?

3 links with no views at 5, btw 1 of them is closed and now selling for 5.33 each, has around 10 views as well so in the end you have 2 unsold with almost no views at 5 keys and 1 at 5.33 which is closer to 5.5 and also almost no views

To classifieds now 1 at 5.3 and 1000000 at 5.5

Why I made this suggestions? MOST 5 - 5.5 (not including 5.5) sell really really fast

MOST trades are at 5.5 or more

Some traders sell for even more than 5.5

The price in this site is supposed to reflect the price that most trades are being at, most trades are at 5.5 or higher but I don't think it's time to make it 5.5 - 6, maybe soon

So what I am doing is trying to get rid of the unnecessary range

This guy apparently just sold 2 #40s for 4.5 each yesterday:

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14042128

Yes he somehow found 2 people ACTUALLY selling for 4.5

                          Does it support counter-proof? no

Why? because quicksells shouldn't affect price, you see by ANY MEAN 4.5 is far below current price and no matter how you see it that's an obvious quicksell

Also all your links so far combined aren't as many links as I have proving that 5 sells fast and or even above 5.5 is possible so why selling for 5?

Also forgot to note that on my other comment but how is 1 week+ trades connected to price? it was same price and it's less than 2 weeks, that's still recent enough

Most of the trade activity is happening well within the range of 5-5.5. I'm not going to accuse you of trying to raise the value of the 8 #40 crates you have in your inventory, but if you have to dig up old trades to support your suggestion (and write off cheaper trades as quicksells), it comes off as cherry-picking.

Also here's a trade.tf chart showing trade activity centering strongly around 5~5.2 keys: http://www.trade.tf/price/5068_40/6

That thing isn't valid so don't tell me price should be 5 - 5.5 because that site shows 5 - 5.2

Before anything I say keep in mind that I made this suggestion 4 (FOUR) days ago, so your 1 week becomes less than a week

Old trades? who cares about when they were created, I'm looking at their recent sales, all trades I found at 5 were the ones listed above and they are all quicksells

Even with your VERY few trades at 5 I have more proof showing 5 sells fast and over 5.5 is very possible

                                Now to my "old trades":

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14303922 - Opened 2 weeks ago closed 2 days ago, notice that I wrote "at least 1" you can't know exactly when, it's either recent or recent-ish

http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9793348 - Closed 6 days ago? WAY TOO OLD (sold for Strange Sapper 5.5 - 6, which makes it more than 5.5 and pretty new)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14527034 - Opened 5 days ago, closed 4 days ago, probably sold for a Bills (6)

http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9781223 - Happened 12 days ago (old right now I know) but 4 days ago, day of suggesting it was 8 days aka 1 week and that's still recent enough

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14496579 - Closed 2 days ago? SUPER OLD (btw he sold AT LEAST 1)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13972403 - Created 4 weeks ago, still sold many and some are recent (most recent comment was added to talk 1 week ago and some people just add, even if not it sold some for sure at more recent than 2 weeks ago and that's recent enough for a sale ABOVE high end, also 4 days ago it wasn't a week ago)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14305576 - Created 2 weeks ago and sold many (again the 4 day thing and some are probably more recent, if you check histories the sold ones weren't only for people who commented aka people just adding aka possible recent sales)

                                http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9793727 - 5 days ago

the 7 keys are quite old but I wasn't even exactly sure if sold that's why the question mark, even though I think they have and even so 1 of them is 1 week old

I only showed links of above 5.5 because you said these were old and invalid

                        So many 5 key sellers.

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14645713

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14638967

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14636056

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14625109 -couldn't sell at 6, dropped to 5

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14623933

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11902233

                        http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11207231

All from the first page alone.

Now you're gonna say they're all quicksells, or something, but with so many willing 5 key sellers, a bump is not needed.

Gonna have to agree with this. As well with punishers supporting trade.

There is about as much counterproof to this suggestion as proof. you own 8, and you're REFUSING any and all counterproof... I think I'm going to downvote this.

                            2muchcounterproof4me

There was almost no counter-proof until now and how does it matter how much I own it, I didn't see any 5 keys at the time (notice how most of them are younger than 4 days...)

Since there enough 5 - 5.5 keys sellers right now I will close this
