Resubmitting based on comments from the last suggestion.
See here: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/523bb2214dd7b825058b456b
Main argument; price range was too large, possibly due to outlier sales and outdated sales. General consensus was this smaller, more effective range.
Repost the important info.
Pyroman already has it copied. Need I repeat it?
it'd be a better idea to copy it to the main proof, otherwise people would think it's yet another troll suggestion.
Downvote.
No proof.
Please either click on the link I provided, or look at Pyroman's comment.
It seems bri4n is afk, let's help him out.
"I just bought this. Like Just now. Scorching Trophy Belts seem to be going up. It's a God-Tier OLD effect on a RETIRED hat. Something everyone likes. The price has also not been updated for a whopping 5 months.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14452542 - I offered my Cloud 9 Anger on this hat, and was rejected.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14439203 - This was the trade where I SUCCESSFULLY offered a Cloud 9 Anger, and in return received the Scorching Trophy. See http://puu.sh/4vwjx.png
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14235739 - Here he notes he was offered 8 pure, which was retracted, and that HE had payed 8.5 mixed for it.
On that same trade ^, and upon doing some further research, it seems like he managed to trade a Sunbeams Trophy 1:1 for the Scorching Trophy. (6.2*.9 = 5.58).
Accounting for the current low end of the hat, I think it should be bumped up to at least 6. And accounting for the high end is my Unusual overpay of about 8.5 buds in a Cloud 9 Anger. "
"I was told he payed a Burning Trophy Belt + ~1 bud in sweets.
Accounting for overpay (6.3-6.9 -> 6.6 median, 6.6*.9 = 5.94) and + a bud, it puts it a a price of 6.94, a bit under the heart of my suggestion.
Not exactly "8.5" in mixed, so I think the higher end needs adjustment."

"Perhaps 7-8.5 or something similar" - J-Jon
Thanks mate. Didn't think to provide any extra proof, considering it's all bundled nicely in the link I put.
cloud 9anger 7.5 buds after overpay.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14235739 his claims needs to be proven.
here is your low end On that same trade ^, and upon doing some further research, it seems like he managed to trade a Sunbeams Trophy 1:1 for the Scorching Trophy. (6.2*.9 = 5.58).
so a 5.58-7.5 is more accurate but you have only proven that the current range is accurate i preffer the current range

i dont see 8.7 anywhere
dont try to price your own unusual higher.
The comment worth of your nick :)
Anyway, why shouldn't the check the price if he owns one?
Honestly, I hate people who think like this. Everyone does it, why don't you go comment on everyone elses? The whole reason people take an interest in pricing their own unusual? They just made a trade for it after all.
Raising the price of the unusual isn't just to raise my bp value (not a reason at all). Suggesting a price for an unusual hat is a service to the community, BY the community. I suggest a price, if the community doesn't like it, they can vote it down. But if you're voting it down JUST for the pure fact that the Unusual is in my backpack? Sad.
I'm doing this suggestion to prove why this hat should be worth more. This is a retired hat with a GOD TIER effect, which will never be released again. The Scorching Trophy Belt never comes on the market. The price (which hasn't been updated in 5 months mind you) should reflect not only the desire of the market. but also the rarity of the hat.
Vote me down if you want, but pick something else to criticize other than the fact that it's in my backpack.

THIS IS KIND OF THE MAIN PROOF GUYS
Anger is not 8.7 - http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5244432f4dd7b818388b4568 - high end is too high.
You're using a current price suggestion to counter proof a current price suggestion which was using the hat in the first price suggestion which was sold for the hat in the second price suggestion.
The high end was calculated based on the price of the hat BEFORE that current price suggestion, which was (~8.5 in overpay).
The high end was calculated based on an old, inaccurate price suggestion.
The original suggestion for the anger was here - http://backpack.tf/vote/id/52216ebdba2536bc6d8b456d
Low end was set to 7.7 (before ref change)? And the high end was set inaccurately based on misty brainiac which had a 6 month old price at the time and was way too high.
I realize that the changes in ref/key prices reflects a change in bud prices, but I feel like neither of these hats can be 100% accurately gauged until the other price passes.
The earlier range hadn't been set to 7.7; rather 8.7. He had to account for the large range, so he took a logical mean. The range of the Brainiac was also HUGE (BECAUSE NO ONE EVER SELLS THE DAMN THING), he even took closer to the low end.
I agree. I wouldn't be presumptuous to assume that my suggestion is accurate which is why I haven't closed this yet. BUT, if you noticed, I was VERY conservative in my bump down on that suggestion. And some people, after seeing that suggestion, might even argue that a range of 7.1-8.2 would be better than my range of 7.7-9. There is very solid evidence there of sales at 7-8. Take away the anger sale here, and there isn't nearly as much available.
The Anger suggestion has been accepted. Voters / other mods deemed it as more accurate than the current. Closing this now.
The problem here is that when unusuals are outdated their past values are just not valid whatsoever.
