Although I do own one, I paid 10 keys for a strangifier cause I wanted to strangify my level 18 one. I don't really have much stake in it raising as it's part of my Level 18 S. Misc collection.

Right now the only 4 Strangifiers are at prices between $30 and $39.
edit: Ah, silly me. Yeah the stranged Archimedes on the market are between 47 and 63.
It is based off of price sold, not price asked.
p.s was offered offered planets billycock clean for strangifier. other offers rejected: 9 keys. I used to work for a mortgage company we would use previously sold homes to value ones people are going to buy. When issues came up with not being able to find a comparable property we had to use other methods to get value. Most of these proofs are old. There are no quick sells of arch any more. I understand this is how pricing works, but we seem to be pigeon holing ourselves into false prices when supply and demand isn't taken into account. Like i said my ass paid 12 keys and i didnt flinch im getting unusual offers. I do alot of research on this paticular strangifier everyday.

That's not how backpack.tf prices things though, generally. I agree that method has merit, but it doesn't apply as much to virtual items.

Ended up selling it. Got 15 keys (Dota keys are technically worth more than tf2 keys in most cases too, but I am counting them 1:1 because that's what I ended up converting them to.)

a #23 and a genuine but that guy really wanted I try to sell him the strange archimedes instead but he wanted the strangifier

Um... This is supporting proof. He's raised his buying price to 8, which supports your range.
I'm not selling at 8 keys. I put buying for 8 in my buy trade, if I get any bites great. So far I have not been able to get a single one. Instead I went on the steam market and bought a chem set and crafted an archimedes strangifier. Currently have that posted for sale for offers. I'll leave it up as long as it takes to get what I think it's worth, which is much higher than 8-10 keys.

It didnt fail, the suggestor closed it because my price was more accurate.
the 7 key hasn't fail i closed it cause if it was going to be accepted it would be outdated.
Well at this point, looks like the price is already above my range. A lot will happen in 3 days, go figure.

I don't know about you, but it seems pretty unfair that the strange hat/weapon's strangifier costs more then the strange itself, come on people, it's not right!
one of the reasons: you can craft a misc with your name, and then strangifier it, so you'll have a very exclusive strange misc
well, this was said about the strange bacon grease
the strangifier is more valuable than the misc you cant roll back to a strangifier
and when the time pass and someone want to strangifie his special craft#<100 misc he will have to pay more than it cost today solely because of the offers abundance.

I hate to let go of my last strangifier though try to sell him the bird for 15 but he wasn't interesting...
and i just got an offer on my trade for burning flames festivizer for some of my miscs
but I dont trust unusual any more.
This is a needed suggestion since the price is changing so fast and some people do not know what they have. The strangifier seems to be getting offers for more than 17+ keys.
