I'm being grammatical. ;) They had certain irritations that I didn't like. The brackets mark my corrections of their sentences. :P

To be fair, I experimented a bit and it was probably my fault. "[I'll]" was initially "[I]'ll" (which I think looks terrible) so it really could've looked like I was trying to present the quotes in italic letters.
