Pretty sure Valve has said they won't remove Halloween spells from items if they've been glitched on, though correct me if I'm wrong.

where they said that? I've seen nothing about it in oficial blog, wiki etc., but all that dislikes under my comment shows how much owners of this shit hate my idea

I'm an owner of a "glichted halloween paint" item and my sixth sense, which all owners of this type of painted items have, alerted me that someone was commenting against them so I came here.

Also it's not a "glitch" it's a LOOPHOLE in the rules, Valve stated "when you login to TF2 the BOTTLE will be removed from your inventory" if you never login with the bottle on you backpack in "the startup check" then they will never be able to remove the bottles of halloween spells. If Valve really wanted to screw over the halloween spells they would already removed the texture effect that makes them up.

is it works with other retired items like holiday crates, ashes, etc? Also paint should be vanished from items that in bp. Imagine, once you launch tf and lose couple keys with that =D

Also i think Valve will just add this items to drop to decrease their price and then fix bug, so owners like you will not complain that Valve stole their high tier items. Too bad they can not do it with fire proof diaries and capacitors ;D

I really don't understand the "Halloween is coming, they are going up" thing. Unless they change it, they will do as last year and they will be available again. If anything, I'd expect them to lose lots of value as the time comes just to get that final drop when the update goes live. But maybe they don't reintroduce the spells? Who knows.

I highly doubt they will be re-released. Valve has put in new Halloween items both years, new festives each year, and this year probably will not be any different, they will just release new Halloween paints and new Halloween hats. They were even in a special crate which to the best of my knowledge, nothing in a special crate (festive, Halloween etc.) has ever been released again in another crate.

I think you didn't understand me. Last halloween, you could get both 2010's Halloween Masks and 2011's Halloween Costumes if you played Mann Manor or Eyeaduct. Unless they change something, I believe everyone will be able to get these spells again if you play on koth_lakeside_event or whatever it was called.

Yeah, these are going to be obtainable again during Halloween by just playing on the Halloween map, just like how last year you could get the mask and costume pieces by playing on their respective maps, so expect the prices to go DOWN.

Although remember that on those paints, the year is set to 2012, on the new ones, they can probably figure something out that only works for 2013, thus leaving the 2012's untouched. Not 100% sure if that works though...

It isn't that hard for valve to move the expiration date to Nov 9 2013

I don't think they'll do that for items that they've set to "expired," that'd make some players feel cheated. Seeing as how those were supposed to expire (even if Valve didn't enforce it that strictly.)

I have a few more items I want to paint and I am waiting for Halloween. If anything I'd expect them to drop:

halloween and possible more paints coming so people save their money (not buying expensive items right now)

There is a fear (which I don't think you need to worry about) that Valve will 'fix' these on Halloween. That also keeps people from buying them, especially a week before the 'fix' happens.

Plot twist time. I've sold all of my pigmentations. 4 of them for 5 keys each, 3 for a nuts and bolt old guad.
