Well buds aren't 21 keys at this point though.

Recently got one, traded for:

Searing Anger (5.5) + Graybanns -> Searing Beak (6.4 * .9 = 5.8)

Guy I bought it from panicked when he saw this suggestion and just went for a hat he liked.

He offered on my trade so I calculated Unusual overpay as counter proof.

Cauldron Prussian ; Searing Beak ; NnB Beak = Cold Killer

3.6 + 6.4 + 1.9 = 11.9 -> 10.4 * .9 = 9.4

Even if I didn't calculate the prices here, not sure why you singled out the Beak and only depreciated THAT single hat :P

This sold for 105 keys which was, by that, time 5 Buds, but if we follow today's Bud prices (17.3), that's around 6.1 Buds :3

So downgrading a 105 key hat to 83 is just very from what the proof you provided suggests :P

REJECTED offers at around 5.5 Buds. Already calculated the overpay here :O

Stressing out the REJECTED part of the offers just in-case you find these as proof for another suggestion.

Hearts Old Geezer (2) + Bubbles Hallmark (1.7) + O. Fire Gym Rat (.7) + Bud = 5.4

Secret Fruit Shoot = 5.6

Blizzardy Beak (3) + Ghosts Berliner's Bucket (Using the price 1 week ago as the offer was around that time 3.2) = 6.2

As for Edit number 2, 'form' should be 'far'. Dunno how that typo happened :P

Because refined and buds changes have grossly overvalued hats, we are going by the listed price in the previous suggestion and not the listed price as it currently is.

Searing Anger isn't 5.5 --> it's really ~4.6 - http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5242fc814cd7b8362b8b456c which puts that sale at ~4.7

Your bicorne sale is an outlier by any standards

Fruit shoot is 4.3

Geezer is a 7 month old price

And the beak is a 5 month old price that was 2.6, and ghosts bucket was an outdated / overvalued price 1 week ago and was just corrected, so that is 4.7.

Anticipating your comments since everyone says the same thing. The reality is that most unusuals are selling for the same amount in buds and buds becoming cheaper in terms of keys hasn't really been reflected in the unusual market. It seems that unusuals are depreciating in USD values with buds. If you have further questions / concerns please relay them in the link I provided above.
