The seller then says that it was added up to give what he calls seven. I can't tell exactly because of the variation of vintage items, but the seller then called the medal six when he got it, [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14961108[/url]. From all of this, the range is contained within [5.5,7]. The higher value of seven wasn't pure so more investigations are required there.

[url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15088985[/url] is duplicated so sales are painful to find. Also, they seem to involve new items without stable values: [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14953610[/url] and [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14511419[/url] (a buy-out of 6.5). This duplicated one was also offered, so its range is contained by [5.5,6.5]. However, it is duplicated so more research is required still.

I don't doubt the legitimacy of that offer because he then acquired this [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14349214[/url] instead. This offer is the reason why I'm keeping seven in the range for now.

If I could separate these, I'd say [5.5,6.5] for duplicated ones and [5.5,7] for clean ones. Also, there was only one actual offer of seven pure. This along with the buy-outs of seven leave me expecting that in the near future, we will probably see a drop further. For now, however, I'm sticking to [5.5,7] for clean ones since most sales/offers are new hats and effects.

Downvote, your evidence is averaging one month old, and the ones that are not one month old do not have enough evidence to support your price change.

Post 1/2/3/4: Where is the proof that it was purchased at that price? The seller has to agree that he had said that. A vintage medal is worth around 6, so the price of this would be 6 buds, not 5.5 buds unless you provide more evidence to support the "sweets". Also, he was quickselling.

Post 5: Where is the evidence?

Posts 6/7: His newer trade CLEARLY shows his new price for an trade that is one month old. If its not recent, then its not an current price.

Post 8: He wants offers ABOVE 7 pure, not selling for 7 pure.

Post 10: If you doubt the legitimacy of an trade that he hasn't look at in a while and is 2 months old, it just makes you look bad. He also did not take the pure offer; you can't just assign prices to offers, only ACCEPTED offers.

So far, you only have real proof of ONE ACCEPTED offer that was around 2 weeks ago, so I can give you that, but everything else you have is pretty bull. Please don't force your opinions on the unusual market as an whole.

I think that in his mind, he agrees that it's going down. Hence he's suddenly trying to quick-sell it for 145 keys before any potential drops. The whole rant seems to be just a desperate hope to keep it up long enough for him to sell.

The 5.5 is the highest pure offer that this has received in... actually, you're right. This hat hasn't received any higher pure offers since then. Therefore it's probably too high.

2. I made this suggestion before you bought it. I was in no way "NOT COOL" to you. This was in absolutely no way a personal attack at you. I don't even know you.

3. Why would you have paid so much when there were cheaper ones available? Do you have any evidence of having paid so much?

However, your one was the duplicated one so it might be worth slightly less. I'll leave this open for a bit longer while I ask for other opinions on the forums. EDIT: Internet broke and made me respond twice.

This suggestion has gone through a few days of considerations and may still change. I've started a discussion about it on the backpack.tf forums. My current position is to leave this at [5.5,7] for the clean ones. However, that may still change. The 5.5 is from an offer by a person who was specifically searching for a clean one. The seven, however, is now based on a sale involving a vintage medal. This suggestion has become rather controversial so if you'd like to voice your opinion, please feel free to also speak in the forum discussion. I've bugged a few people about this and spent a lot of time looking at this suggestion so please let me know if you disagree with it. I want it to be right and am willing to change it if needed.

I don't think the low end should be based on the offer of 5.5 pure alone. It should be based on the sale. Low end of ~6 based on the Medal sale and high end of 7 based on offers that approach that for the clean one. The 2 duped hats shouldn't be used in the proof.
