Sold

Selling
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15164326 (1 ref)
Wow, Do you really keep insisting on doing this? It's the same exact item. A trader bought it for .88 and is reselling it for a refine. How about you provide more proof? It seems like your suggestions are rather lacking.
Keep doing this? What do you mean? Also, market is small.
Do you really think that I don't know that they're the same item?
Before saying proof is lacking, maybe you should check the market.
Hey Mate
If you can't find proof then I guess you shouldn't make a post to lower the price. Would have been better to wait and find more proof if the market is really lacking sappers on sale.
Changing the price of the base sapper affects the price of the named ones as well
SAPPER SALES - Counter Proof:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15276733 - 1 Ref - Sold
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15255187 - 1 Ref - Sold
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15276914 - Asking 1.33 Ref (Refused offer at 0.77 Ref)
Your counterproof supports his range in my opinion. You show solds at 1 ref and he showed a sold at .88, hence the .88-1 ref range. As counterproof, what you should be providing is sales at 1.11 ref, which there are none.
Then why should it go down to 0.88?; My point is that there is too little evidence and it would have been best not to make an effort to lower prices at this time; but since he did - showing why it's a bad idea to go below a Ref
Also - keep in mind that he showed a sale at 1 Ref - So 3 sales at 1 Ref - Why not just move to 1 Ref flat (Since he really wants to lower the price of the sapper)?
That proof definitely wasn't there when I created this suggestion. Anyway, thanks. I guess you're right about the ref sales but the last one is a completely clean (no name/desc) and thus costs more. Had a discussion with a mod about that. He won't even sell it for 1.33 and I've seen those go for 2.
Hey man
My tone does sound a bit mean in that post :) Back to my point:
Stock (Unique) weapons are not ''rare'' and are pretty common compared to many commonly traded items, however, it's still a niche market - I mean, who would really just want an exact clone of their default weapons, especially when they cost much more then most unique weapon? Collectors? Guys like me looking to make a profit?:)
Pretty tough to find proof; I'll admit - I do get all my stock weapons (named) for 0.77 Ref each - however, most are selling easily for a Ref, regardless of backpack prices.
So I would have to say 1 Ref flat - in my opinion, and see how things progress in the following weeks / months.
I have had 1.11 and 1 ref offers. Have refused all of them. People usually add me and offer
Your Sapper is the completely clean one (no name/desc). Brad said that those cost more and the price here is for the named/desc ones.
I mean you're creating suggestions using trades between the very same two traders rather than posting all the proof you can find.
Considering someone quick sold it for a scrap less, and the one who purchased it resold it for the value it's worth I find it funny that you'd make a suggestion over it. If it were to be changed I believe a refine would be more suitable, check Terminus's counter proof.
Both of these links have the Sapper renamed, hence the higher price. Downvoted.
Go read again the stuff that you wrote and then slap yourself hard...
these items are only available renamed, unless people wipe the name.
also he is dropping the price so if they'd get a higher price by using the tag, the price should be lower, which is all the more reason to upvote.
Ah, sorry, my bad.
@Dracula, no need to be mean, I'm always willing to be corrected, but not in that way.
People are more likely to learn if you apply a slight drop of rudeness or irony... I didn't mean to be too mean though :)
not. a. lot. of. proof. go get some more please
Okay. Except there isn't anymore to get.
then don't try and suggest a trade like this. It's like suggesting a key for 5.66 with 5 links, because people still buy for that price
that's different though because of currency (or rather changing the value of)
Except there are 20+ pages of keys....
and only less than half a page of Unique Sappers
Agreed, only 2 sappers sold, and it's the same sapper "Little Zappy", looks like the person who bought it just wanted to resell it for a scrap more and make a profit off it, not enough info to change it's value.
Once again, little proof for the low end...
cant find any trade open so upvote
Doesn't make much sense - There is an option to say that you don't know - the question mark :)
Upvote for me. Really hard find a trade for it.
Its hard to find a 1963 corvette convertible yet they cost upwards of 100k, so what it being hard to find have to do with anything?
Another comment that doesn't make any sense; So you can't find any proof. You could just click the question mark - means you voted;
You want this to be cheaper because you can't find it - doesn't make any sense at all since if sellers are not presenting their wares at high price, why would they want to sell at a lower price.
I understand that there are very few trades for this anywhere, but It feels wrong to change the price based off, like sore pointed out, one individual item, as both trades are the same exact item. It was bought for .88 and then flipped for 1 ref.
So I don't blame you for not having enough proof, but I still don't think it's nearly enough to pick a price and go with it.
Hugh Jazz Mann,
I Bought This For 1 Ref, It Was The One That You Put Into The Suggestion, It Was Sold (Little Zappy)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/15164326
For Me, Got Sold, And Not Much Proof.
Still An Upvote For Me!
I guess I must be the only guy who manages to sell named ones for 2.33 Ref :)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13817403 <-- This guy appears to have been rather successful at buying for 0.66 refined judging by the number in his backpack. Not sure if this will really help as he is technically quickbuying.
So the proof is just 2 trades - Essentially 1 item re-traded :) Seriously?
Exactly... lol
But proof doesn't really matter here; people just love to push prices down :) Seen lots of guys giving really great proof but people just rejecting it for no real reason.
More buyers in a market, who want prices to go down so they can buy the items cheaply - fewer sellers :)
Keep in mind that the sales you find were after the suggestion had started and so I thought that I had most of the market's pork up there. Anyway, I like how reasonable you've been compared to KungFu who just seems aggressive (don't ask me why). Just to let you know also that the price here is for already named/desc ones and that the completely clean ones actually do cost more.
That's true; that sale wasn't there when you created this post.
The pricing of one does in a way affect the other (named vs clean); I've seen a guy willing to pay 2 Ref for all stock (Clean) fists; depends on lot on individual traders; I manage to sell named stock at 2.33 Ref each - It all depends :)
You see - collectors value clean stock weapons ones as there are fewer of them in the market - thus would pay a good price.
Most users value a good name and therefore pay more for good named stock weapons; So - 2 different markets - both of which can have either high or low prices depending on the buyers and sellers :)
Thanks if you actually read through my mini lecture / or even if you just skipped to this part :)
Enjoy your day
Down voting due to a lack of proof - Either way - pretty profitable for me to trade in named stock items; so lower prices means higher profits for me :)
just 1 ref flat would have been a better, more conservative suggestion. Regardless, I'll upvote due to the incredibly small market.
I know you're top notch Hugh, but you're going to need more proof than this. I know its a weird item with low amounts of sales/circulation, but I know there's more proof out there and you need to dig. Downvote for now. If more proof is provided I'll change my mind. :P
Ah yes. I'm sure that all the proof possible to get has already been gotten, including that from Terminus (who has been a great help so far).
